Very old but clean

Positives - excellent receptionist (Vipin) and without his help I would have probably checked out early. Has parking. Reasonable location and access into central Bath. Has an electric kettle and a pack of cookies. Not so positives - In desperate need of upgrade, creaking floors, wash basin outside the bathroom. It isn’t for work related travellers as you cannot even use an iron without tripping off the entire building main switch and once that happen there is no 24 hour active reception. No fan or iron provided in room so you have to ask. Tiny computer monitor used as a make shift TV that you have to pull out of a closet. No drinking water in room. Value for money not there as many better locations available at same or lower price.

Let's talk about this place... In virtual world, nice pictures, in real world my worst nightmare, the most disgusting place I put my eyes on. So bad, so bad, so bad that a few hours later I had to leave and find another place to stay. Let's start by the furniture looking like has been picked in a tip and believe me in tips you can find better furniture in better conditions. The toilet was so small, so small that there was no space even to put our own toiletries and the shower completely filthy and full of rust in a such green colour that made me throw up , obviously that using this is a serious health issue, possibly with health and safety issues as E Coli or salmonella., and the best of it was that if you made a number 2... you wouldn't be able to wash your hands in the toilet but getting out of it, going to the room and side by side of the bed, wash your hands in a small sink where the lovely taps let the pos of it jump as soon you touch it. The kettle, oh the kettle was the best, with left water on it and the bottom full of mold, under the window with the sun hitting in full and of course the milk side by side of the kettle. Tv? Wow... I couldn't believe it, standing in the middle of the wardrobe, so to watch it you had pull it towards you but the person next to you wouldn't be able to see it anyway due to the angle of it, so good luck with that. The tv cables were inside hole in the cabinet of the wardrobe, and not small or round, looked like someone had punch it or smashed it with a hammer to make the hole for it.shall I describe the bed? With the fabric of head board almost falling apart and the carpet was a must to look at... so dusty and looking from 2 centuries ago. The wonderful and lovely garden.... oh my God, no need to go to Africa on a safari, the jungle is right there! So yes, have a good stay! Should be an inspection to this place and I am really sure this unbelievable place would be shut down and put to the ground. So this is only the advantages, imagine what it is the disadvantages.....

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room is a little tired with very worn carpets and attempted DIY on the woodwork and windows, however this adds to the charm and quirkiness of the place. The view from the window was lovely to wake up to. The bed is extremely comfy. Definitely will return. Great location.

This place at one time would have been spectacular, however sadly it's in need of major renovation now. The bedding and ensuite were clean and we had a nice view of the garden from our window but the room itself was quite tatty and dated. The free, easy parking was however a bonus. For what we paid for a one night stopover we couldn't complain as it was reasonable enough to get an Uber into Bath and back again, which was a fabulous place to visit.

Nice location, not far from the city center, easy to go around. Self check in is convenient and easy. Standard amenities are provided. Beautiful ground. Free parking. Quiet and peaceful. Value of money. Will definitely return when we visit Bath again.
