I booked an overnight stay and spa package for my wife's birthday. The staff were extremely helpful from the start, accommodating requests, and making sure everything was ready as hoped for. Having had complex Bowel Cancer surgery in September, I wanted to thank my wife for everything she did during a most challenging time and also to make her feel special for her birthday. Suffice to say, the hotel, staff, facilities, bar, and dining all hit the mark. Living locally in Frome meant we have a detailed insight into the area and the other venues offering access to the beautiful Downes, Cotswold footpath, and the wider South West. Homewood is, without exception, in the top 3 of the region as far as grounds and character are concerned. However, when you consider value for money, quality of service, accessibility to the Spa facilities and treatments, views, gardens, eclectic interior decorating, historic features, the kitchen garden, family friendly areas, parking, EV charging, outdoor dining and weather proof pods, access to Bath and neighbouring picturesque towns, hamlets and villages like Frome, Bradford on Avon, and Mells, proximity to great golf courses, Vobster Quay, Shearwater Lake, the Bath and Dundas Canal, Longleat Safari Park and Manor, Bruton, the myriad of stables or outdoor pursuits, or if visiting loved ones at Bath University, Homewood instantly takes the Number 1 spot. We stayed in Room 19, with its own entrance and quirky layout, it remains the most interesting suite we've ever stayed in, filled with character, home comforts, and familial Westcountry warmth anyone could wish for. The choice of room was challenging as each one I saw had a lot to offer - unique in its own way. So much so, that I will definitely return with my wife to spend a night or two in the stunning honeymoon suite overlooking the grounds. Having just defended my British National Powerlifting title only 3 days prior, I was equally excited about using the Spa facilities. It's amazing what they've been able to facilitate. There's a brilliant multi-station hydro-spa pool, a lap swimming pool, an indoor hydro-spa pool, outdoor sauna, ice-water chain-pull bucket, outdoor shower, ample sun loungers and seating, indoor sauna, a steam room, changing facilities, robes, towels, flip-flops, the treatment rooms, and the pièce de résistance - the quiet room; a designated long room, with floor to ceiling double glazed slide-and-stack doors, which must be blissful in the warmer summer days. That said, the views are as impactful now as they would be in the summer, with every season flooding your senses with all the hues, flora, and fauna Somerset has to offer. I selected a 60 minute massage and my wife chose a 60 minute facial. The treatment rooms are simply spectacular in their ability to set the calm into your visit. The Spa staff are professional, courteous, considerate, mindful, and caring, ensuring one's visit is memorable and relaxing. You'd be hard pressed to define w
