Bath Hotels with Gym

We stayed there only for one night during Easter holidays and spent around £150 one night without breakfast. The room allocated was at the bottom of the townhouse; we are not sure if the air conditioning was working or not. A bit cold during the night…the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. No other comments. Nothing bad or great to mention.

Trip.com confirmed to me that this hotel is welcomed for children to stay with parents free of charge (with no additional fee) during hotel accommodation, but the hotel manager Ron said extra charges of GBP100 would be added if children are staying. This time we had quite a bad hotel accommodation experience but anyways, we did obtain hotel manager’s kind arrangement for complimentary breakfasts as well as late check out although we checked out on time by 11:00am. Well, forget it for this kind of bad experience soon I hope. Thank you!

We had a lovely and well equipped room on the top floor overlooking the city. The room was large and easily fitted in an extra bed for our 9 year old. You could open the sash window wide so wouldn't have been suited to younger children as could be dangerous. Although the service was great, the breakfast was rather average and disappointing for what we would expect from this type of hotel. We had an included rate but if you wanted something like eggs Benedict or avocado on toast rather than the full English you had to pay a £6 supplement. The most disappointing part of this hotel was the spa. It was quite small and very tired looking with lots of missing and chipped tiles. Overall for the money, it wasn't worth the price as it needs a bit of an update. 

Excellent location, right in the centre. Very clean and modern hotel, lovely sitting area in the lobby. Room was cosy and modern with a big TV. Bed was comfortable but pillows were too soft. Shower was powerful. Breakfast was adequate. We parked at the nearby car park that was £20.

We enjoy our stay in Apex very much. We received a warm welcome from Tony at the front desk. He was being very friendly the whole time and even recommended us places to visit in Bath. The room was exactly how we expected. The swimming pool and spa facilities were spectacular. Tony suggested us to reserve the time slot that was least busy so that we could enjoy the best of them.

Facilities and Services The hotel lobby and public lounge area are elegant and quiet, with a book bar, chess area and open fireplace; the outdoor courtyard and garden are equipped with outdoor seating and water fountains, and afternoon tea can be enjoyed in summer; the gym, sauna and small indoor swimming pool (swimming lane reservation required) meet basic exercise and relaxation needs; the front desk is open 24 hours a day, and the concierge can assist in arranging hot springs, horseback riding and surrounding tours; free Wi-Fi is available throughout the venue, and there are ample parking spaces. 4. Dining Experience ”Manor House Restaurant” focuses on seasonal British country dishes, using local organic ingredients; breakfast, lunch and dinner can be booked, and the chef's signature roast and hand-baked desserts are especially recommended; the bar ”The Coach House” offers British craft beer, classic cocktails and light food platters in a leisurely atmosphere. 5. Value for money: Located in the heart of Bath's core scenic area, the price is relatively high-end in the city center, but it includes a manor atmosphere and free shuttle service; early bird discounts are available for bookings during the off-season or on weekdays, and membership and package prices are more attractive; suitable for a variety of needs such as quiet vacations, weekend breaks, or British celebrations (weddings/team building). Tips: 1. It is recommended to book shuttle and swimming pool time slots in advance through the official website or by phone; 2. If you drive yourself, you can ask the hotel for a navigation map before arriving to avoid missing the entrance on the country road; 3. The restaurant is full on weekends and holidays, so you can consider booking a breakfast/afternoon tea package; 4. When the weather is fine, you may wish to bring a light picnic mat and enjoy the wildness in the garden or forest lawn; 5. It is close to the Bath Spa Museum and the Royal Crescent, and a half-day urban cultural tour can be arranged. Its meant to be a luxury-ish short weekend getaways before my job starts as my partner can't take a long leave. The delux double room is a huge disappointmemt.Understably, it is a very premium location and other guest probably pay a lot more. However, I wouldn't think of paying over £300 to get a room feeling like a old day servant's room. Being placed at the roof extension room with the view mostly blocked, the floor makes the typical old wooden cracking noise as we walk. The curtain, carpet and bathroom are not in the best condition. The glass on top of the table and desk are not well fitted. Another thing is that, without any previous notice, the spa closed foe maintenance the morning we leave. The fake plants make it look less luxury than its branded. The plus side, it is kind of inclusive which the spa pool, gym and breakfast are included. The breakfast is quite nice if you like English breakfast or they have some basic buffet.

Had high expectations of my stay and it was completely fulfilled and I was impressed. Overall welcome and ambience was just right being professional and sincere. Our bed room, junior suite after upgrading with extra fee, was reasonably sized although the bathroom with the layout of the door made it difficult and slightly dangerous to enter / close behind guest. The spa village was busy but understandable; it felt clean and very updated overall so there was less of a concern on hygiene which is understood can be difficult to maintain standards. The breakfast room, choices and service was fine as expected so it’s worth signing up for. Although by day 2, it was hard fo imagine having another breakfast so possibly having breakfast for one day as an option would be good. Would have liked to have body lotion in bathroom as I had to rely on the one available in the spa village… and with 2 nights stay, toiletries were not replenished … Always a nice welcome when soft drinks / mini bar is complimentary ; although it doesn’t cost a lot to fill a fridge but small gestures like these make guests feel more welcomed Thanks for a great stay; would like to take my 80 year old mum here sometime in future as she would enjoy it tremendously !!
