Basel Hotels with Bars

The originally designated room was still not ready at 5 pm. So I got another room. Nice yet small room with a nice view. Only negative point was the hotel is located right next to a tram station and the Basel fair close to Basel Badischer Bahnhof. It s a high rise building with hotelrooms up to floor 14. There is an independant bar on the 30st floor in the same building with spectacular views. Hotel guests get a free Basel card with allows to use public transport for free and lots of half price things to do like museums, zoo etc.

The location of the hotel is good, next to the European train station SBB, it is very convenient to travel by taxi and public transportation. The biggest problem is that there is no air-conditioning. It is only the beginning of June, and the outdoor temperature is as high as 28 degrees at noon. There is no air-conditioning indoors, and the sunlight is direct (European latitude is high, and the sun's slope is not large in summer), and the indoor temperature is as high as 34-36 degrees! I couldn't sleep at all. I asked the front desk and said that the temperature is relatively low at night and it will cool down. The room is not ventilated and it won't cool down at all! Only a small electric fan is provided, and I have no sleep all night! When booking a hotel in Europe, you must ask whether there is air conditioning. 80% of hotels in Europe do not have air conditioning, which is unbearable in summer! This is still a European four-star hotel!

Great location. About 10-15mins walk from the main train station. The air circulation in the room wasn’t that good. It was rather stuffy making it hard to sleep at night. Tried adjusting the thermostat but it didn’t work. The bathroom is clean however the water heater couldn’t work properly and it was 7 degrees outside. 😓

Let’s talk about the advantages first. The location is very good. It’s a five-minute walk from the train station. The windows are well insulated, but there are some drunkards singing outside the window in the middle of the night after opening the window, but there's nothing we can do about it since it's so close to the train station. Although it’s Switzerland🇨🇭. But Basel is more like Germany🇩🇪 The service is also good, there is luggage storage, and the Basel transportation card is offered as a gift Finally, let’s talk about the shortcomings. There is no minibar. Free minibar: There is no small refrigerator, only mineral water and bagged coffee are provided, and the minibar is not used! !

Hotel at very convenient location, providing easy access to different means of public transport. Both the public areas and rooms of the hotel are clean and brightly lit. The room is very spacious indeed, and the water in the tub is strong and hot enough. The breakfast was on the whole good, except that there's some recurrent confusion in the order of omelettes because of seemingly poor coordination in the manpower and order-taking arrangements. Hope that could be improved.

Beautifully maintained and actually 5 * worthy hotel! Rooms are spacious and beds sleep wonderfully. The only downside is the bathroom where you have to shower in the bathtub with a very small shower head and the toilet right behind the shower door. For the rest: - the staff is top notch, breakfast is complete and extensive - the gym and spa is wonderful and the swimming pool is wonderfully large

We had a deluxe room to the patio (lounge indoor) located. It was very quiet and beautifully equipped. Elktr. Jalousie, silent air conditioning, silent refrigerator with a wide range of drinks and snack filling. A huge comfortable shower in a bright, clean bathroom from glass to the high ceiling. ( With a white, airy light corner, which can be attracted to you, you could be concerned about more discretion. The whole hotel is beautiful and modernly furnished. Coffee is available in the rooms and in the foyer by Nespresso machines. The staff in the whole house is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was extensive with a lot of choice. For the selection there were delicious filter coffee and Nespresso on the machine.

Novotel was a nice place to stay for our overnight in Basel. Easy check-in and check-out so we had no problems at reception. Our train left very early the next day so they kindly prepared our breakfast to take away which included 2 sandwiches and 2 bottles of water for each person. I can't say much about the facilities since we didn't get to explore but the hotel was a convenient location to get to Basel SBB. The reception staff also helped us book a taxi which we were thankful for as fewer trams went around the city so early in the morning. We were also given a Visitor Pass to travel around the city so the trams were free and we got a discount at the museum we went to. The only downside was there wasn't a convenience store nearby or maybe there was but we didn't get to see one immediately. Thanks, Novotel!

Comfortable location - to the station 5 minutes by bus 30, walk often, stop in step. Near the chic gate of Spalentor, behind them almost begins shopping space and center. Before stopping 50 bus to the airport, take 5 minutes. The staff at the hotel is very welcome, on the receptacle spices, water, candy, cards, booklets, cards. Settled before the placed, late departure without extra payment to 12, then 50 Franco. Give a basel card: free transportation, including to the airport, and 50% discount on museums. There is also a code for hotel entrance after 22 (or 23, I will not remember anymore) when there is no one on the respiratory. Breakfast is excellent, cheeses of species 7, cut, vegetables, hot, juice, water, jams, fruit, can be ordered eggs, omlet, coffee, etc., on the 5th floor with beautiful views, small room. The room is cosy, slippers, closets, minibar, many different lusters and light bulbs. Quiet. Your cloud programs, ours is not. The blankets are excellent, the pillows are so for yourself. Overall: I recommend.

Facilities: All basic facilities are available. European hotels usually don't have slippers, toothbrushes, etc. I'm used to it. Hygiene: Cleanliness is pretty good Environment: Nice view outside the window, slightly off-center Service: Very friendly service
