Poblenou it's just perfectly placed between city centre and Barcelona International Convention Center. The Hotel is just next to the Rambla de Poblenou which plenty of nice small tapas bar.
This hotel is not far away from the beach, from our room we can see the mediterranean sea. It is a bit far from the city center, about 20-30 mins by metro, but it is still acceptable for us. We spent a lovely weekend in Barcelona.
Great hotel option for a Barcelona city stay. We really liked this hotel at the edge of Barcelona city. This hotel is still within zone 1 of Barcelona so you can use a 1 zone public transport to get to and from almost anywhere in Barcelona.
The location is pretty good but it is a bit close to the La Mina neighborhood which is a poorer neighborhood of Barcelona. There have been improvements in the neighborhood but it is still recommended to stick to the areas that are near the hotel or the south and west of the hotel (towards the sea) if you plan to stay out late at night.
We found the area very convenient for us as we arrived early morning and the Forum metro station is nice and the area immediately near the hotel has reasonable level of security and local police presence.
The hotel reception and team was very cordial and serviceable. The room we got was very good, had a nice balcony and it overlooks the nearby student accommodation so it was silent at night. Breakfast was very tasty and had enough of a food variety + delicious breads and iberico ham.

Free parking and a good location. The staff is not very helpful. One night, we were locked in the basement because the lift was out of order. We had to climb the stairs to go back to the hotel. We tried to explain the situation to the staff, but they scolded us, insisting that the lift was totally fine and that there were no problems at all. The service needs to be improved.
This is my 2nd stay with The Social Hub, the other one being in Florence. The fun little details, friendly staff, and variety of environments has impressed me again! So much so that, I plan on staying with them again in other international destinations!
Great service and facilities. I got the impression that the operations of this hotel are well managed, even in the peak of this busy season. Cleanliness is well looked after by the housekeeping, the pool was open and clean. 10/10 would visit again. Kudos!
P.s. the photos are from the lift and the view from the room.
Close to the subway, but you need to take the bus to go to the main attractions.
Located in a residential area, back streets and alleys, the surrounding area is not a tourist area, it is still relatively depressed, and you should pay attention to safety when traveling too early or too late.
The room is not soundproofed, and you can hear the sound of water in other rooms.
There is no front desk or staff service. Email contact and the reply is very timely. Check-in is smooth according to the instructions step by step, and it requires high language communication skills.
But because there are no staff, the alarm suddenly sounded at 5 o'clock in the morning. I don’t know what the reason is. I don’t know whether it is a fire alarm, a ******** alarm or an earthquake. I rely entirely on my own judgment and no one dares to go out. No one has dealt with it until the alarm stopped by itself at 6 o'clock. It was a very bad and terrible experience, but fortunately nothing happened. No email was received later to explain this incident.
Luggage cannot be stored. It is said that there is a cooperative storage point, which requires a fee and some discounts, but the fee is unknown. It is still very inconvenient not to be able to store luggage.
There is no breakfast to be booked, and there are very few hotels around.
In short, the living experience is not good, and I will not live again next time.
The advantages are that the rooms are newer, the space is large, and the public space is also spacious.
The place is quite big for a family. (we are a family of 5). Centrally located close to many attractions. The staff at the reception are very helpful and welcoming.
The hotel is more expensive than w, art, and Perlman. The advantage is that it is the sea, the lobby can book tickets, and the room can cook. The shortcomings are far from the subway, the hotel is relatively biased, and taxiing is very inconvenient. If it is not for swimming by the sea, it is not very convenient.
I would recommend this hotel. The location is close to the metro and near the centre. Also there is a beach with walking distance.
The pool is great in the day and there is a lovely Colombian lady there who is great with kids. In the evening we watched the football and it was great the following day we watched the England v Netherlands match and both the waiter and waitress told my son to not celebrate the goal. Without giving any reasons, it ruined the match and soured our whole stay.

Very Good
YyinwdAlthough it was a temporary hotel, the overall impression was good. It should be said that it was a very technological design. Except that it was a little far from the scenic area, everything else was quite satisfactory.
GGuest UserI travel 300 days a year and for the first time I experienced a shock! I arrived to check in at 23:30 after a 16 hour flight from Asia. When checking in, the receptionist DEMANDED a deposit from me in an ultimatum form. I replied that I was checking out at 7 am and I would hardly be able to use the deposit, to which he replied that this was the hotel's policy and I was obliged otherwise he would cancel my reservation. I showed him the check-in voucher, which did not contain information about my obligation to make a deposit. He said that this was my problem and he would now (at 00:00 at night) cancel the reservation. After 20 minutes, I managed to convince him not to take a deposit from me. The second round of the tragedy began - he asked to pay a tourist tax. I offered to pay by credit card, since I only had cash US dollars with me. but I couldn't pay with a VISA card, which I've used without problems in 50 countries around the world!!! but the terminals at the hotel didn't accept my card. I asked to take a deposit of 100 US dollars, but he wouldn't hear of it, he made me exchange 200 dollars (!!!) since the hotel policy prohibits exchanging a smaller amount!!! for your information - the tourist tax is 12.54 euros and the hotel employee couldn't provide me with a normal terminal for payment! in short, it's terrible, in the end I fell asleep only at 01:00 at night. terrible place, absolutely disloyal staff. he tried to yell at me!!! this is the first time I've seen something like this! it's just awful!
MmojisolaHotel was clean, close to metro and all the key attractions. Reception staff were very nice as well. The room was really lovely and spacious. Well cleaned every day we stayed. The AC worked perfectly.Only downside is they have very limited breakfast options. Breakfast ends 10:30am and if you are still eating at that time even though you have taken all you need, the staff makes you feel uncomfortable, lurking around and taking any empty plate they see off you while you are still eating maybe because they are looking to close in time. At times, If some food items finishes some minutes before 10:30am, they don’t get refilled too.
Kkitty0409Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. location was great too, a lot of food establishments nearby, and a laundromat is 5-mins walk away.
Room is spacious and clean, would highly recommend to stay at this hotel if you're in Barcelona.
GGuest UserThe beds are given in a transparent bag and you have to rebuild your bed (we had booked a private wax for the whole group. It is not easy to rebuild your beds in a high, conscious that the bed shell is not correctly positioned and you may be injured. room 211
DDongdanqiaodanDouble book, Ctrip reality can not be refunded. The front desk of the hotel said that it is possible to refund, but they can't refund, they need the platform to refund, let me contact the platform. I contacted Ctrip, told the hotel's suggestion, and refunded the room fee for 4 nights.
This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel, and I also stayed here for summer vacation last year. The hotel is clean, the breakfast is rich and the service is good. The swimming pool is on the 13th floor with a nice view.
