Hotels in Diagonal Mar, Barcelona

This hotel is not far away from the beach, from our room we can see the mediterranean sea. It is a bit far from the city center, about 20-30 mins by metro, but it is still acceptable for us. We spent a lovely weekend in Barcelona.

I would recommend this hotel. The location is close to the metro and near the centre. Also there is a beach with walking distance. The pool is great in the day and there is a lovely Colombian lady there who is great with kids. In the evening we watched the football and it was great the following day we watched the England v Netherlands match and both the waiter and waitress told my son to not celebrate the goal. Without giving any reasons, it ruined the match and soured our whole stay.

Great service and facilities. I got the impression that the operations of this hotel are well managed, even in the peak of this busy season. Cleanliness is well looked after by the housekeeping, the pool was open and clean. 10/10 would visit again. Kudos! P.s. the photos are from the lift and the view from the room.

Location is a so-so for me. Just 10 minutes walk to the nearest metro and it's a paved road all the way to the hotel which is good for travelers with luggages. Room view was nice as well. The hotel is situated near the beach which is a plus and the sorroundings were clean. The Service is perfect I could say because I made some changes with regards the check-in process and they were kind enough to reconsider my request. The hotel provided us with combs and toothbrushes and other hygiene stuffs which is convenient for those who forgot to bring theirs. Their buffet has a lot of options so you could really choose on what to eat. So far everthing went well with our stay.

My plans changed so needed a last minute hotel in Barcelona, this was a reasonable price and I was given a newly refurbished room which was absolutely stunning, the room was massive and well decorated, the bathroom was very stylish and the bed was so comfortable. It had plenty of amenities like a toothbrush, sponge, shower caps and shoe polisher which was great. I would highly recommend if you don’t mind being outside the centre - the area isn’t anything special but there is transport very near by.

👍🏻 Location close to the beach, several buses to attractions, close to Rambla Poblenou, where all the local restaurants are 👍🏻 Friendly and helpful staff, amazing breakfast with very good quality Iberian ham. 👍🏿The roof is equipped with a swimming pool, with a 360-degree invincible view 👎 No tea and coffee welcome tray in the room, no kettle, no glass, but there is a small fridge, the breakfast room is sad, the station should be better presented. Overall very satisfied, quiet, with heating in winter and air conditioning in summer. Off-season prices are unbeatable!

Service was great - reception staff were very helpful. We just had breakfast there and it was a significant buffet for 17 Euros. Pool deck was great and pool very clean...only 1.1 metres deep though but fine to cool off. Very handy to PrimaVeraSound festival at the ParcForum Short walk to Metros and Rambla's area for lots of restaurants.

I travel 300 days a year and for the first time I experienced a shock! I arrived to check in at 23:30 after a 16 hour flight from Asia. When checking in, the receptionist DEMANDED a deposit from me in an ultimatum form. I replied that I was checking out at 7 am and I would hardly be able to use the deposit, to which he replied that this was the hotel's policy and I was obliged otherwise he would cancel my reservation. I showed him the check-in voucher, which did not contain information about my obligation to make a deposit. He said that this was my problem and he would now (at 00:00 at night) cancel the reservation. After 20 minutes, I managed to convince him not to take a deposit from me. The second round of the tragedy began - he asked to pay a tourist tax. I offered to pay by credit card, since I only had cash US dollars with me. but I couldn't pay with a VISA card, which I've used without problems in 50 countries around the world!!! but the terminals at the hotel didn't accept my card. I asked to take a deposit of 100 US dollars, but he wouldn't hear of it, he made me exchange 200 dollars (!!!) since the hotel policy prohibits exchanging a smaller amount!!! for your information - the tourist tax is 12.54 euros and the hotel employee couldn't provide me with a normal terminal for payment! in short, it's terrible, in the end I fell asleep only at 01:00 at night. terrible place, absolutely disloyal staff. he tried to yell at me!!! this is the first time I've seen something like this! it's just awful!

The hotel room at Hesperia was decent enough. Hair dryer was not working, the balcony door had issues with the lock and the most difficult part was getting a receipt from the hotel because they were not able to figure out if the hotel was prepaid or not even though the confirmation slip mentioned that we had to pay at hotel premises upon arrival. Other than that, location was decent, had a rather good steak house nearby and it was close to the beach.
