My husband and I stayed here at the end of the year. We were able to communicate with them despite our poor English, and we were able to check in and out, leave our luggage, pick it up, etc. with ease. The building and rooms were clean and had a nice atmosphere, so we had a comfortable stay. The air in Barceloneta, which is close to the sea, was good.

Honestly, this place is a gem! Room 405 has the best panoramic views of the city/harbour and a beautiful terrace area on the roof for sunbathing.
The staff were super lovely and polite, nothing was too much trouble.
Ladies at breakfast were friendly and welcoming, the food was a good selection, however the hot food items sadly weren't hot (think cold bacon slices, warm eggs, warm beans) just about warm nothing more which by the time you've buttered your toast and started to eat its all cold.
The room was super clean and comfy, room service was excellent, I requested more pillows and they arrived at my room within minutes.
The hotel is centrally located for the city/harbour and for all the sightseeing.
Beds are too hard for me but that's personal preference.
I would definitely come back here again.

The hotel is well located, but it is obvious that it is very tired. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is good. Polite and friendly staff. The floor is very cold and there are no slippers - this is a minus.
There is no kettle in the room - for me this is a minus.
The safe is very small (there is no room for a laptop) and it is locked with a key, which you have to ask for separately and then carry with you everywhere - this is a minus.

It was close to the downtown area and the sea, and had good transport links.
The room was spacious enough for all three of us to spread out our suitcases.

Great stay if you’re going on a cruise. Staff very friendly and helpful. Get the breakfast buffet - it was excellent and well worth it!
