After staying for three days, there was no tissue on the second day. They never put tissue for me and they were reluctant to change the bath towel every day. Speechless😓

The room is quite small. There is no room for two suitcases. It was renovated a few years ago. The facilities are good. The lobby is also decorated exquisitely and tastefully. It is close to the beach. It is really enjoyable to swim and run on the beach. The breakfast is good, rich and nutritious, but the coffee is not freshly ground. As for the price, I booked a weekend room for 3400. To be honest, the location is worth 1,000. The weekend is 500 more expensive, and the rest is the room including breakfast.

Seeing such high ratings on Ctrip, I couldn't help but fall for the misconception that "high ratings equal good service," and I booked this "renowned" Sofitel. Looking back now, I can only say to my naive self: Congratulations, you've been taught a hard lesson. First, the room amenities were incredibly problematic. The bathroom drain was incredibly slow. Every 20-second drain filled up completely, requiring me to turn off the faucet and wait for the water to drain before continuing. A shower that should have taken five minutes dragged on for almost 40. Was this a shower or some kind of endurance test? By the end, I was practically enlightened. The air conditioner also played its part, humming non-stop all night long. Sleep quality? Nonexistent. You were forced to listen to the air conditioner's solo performance all night long. What's even more surprising is that when I reported these issues to the hotel, not only did they not offer an apology, but instead, with a nonchalant, "How would we know if you didn't tell us?" They confidently declared, "This problem can be fixed in 30 seconds." Wow, they can wait an hour for service just to get a toothbrush, and you're telling me a sewer repair can be done in 30 seconds? I'm truly impressed by your time and space management skills. Aren't you supposed to check the room before giving it to the guest? You need me to do it for you? Are the guests just guinea pigs? The most astonishing thing is that I wasted so much time because of this bathroom, and when I checked out, I was only 10 minutes late. The front desk was bombarded with calls like a war, and they were more diligent than a food delivery driver trying to get me checked out. You had a problem with your own room amenities, and then you acted like the guest had delayed you. You're really good at turning the tables. To sum up: The experience with this "high-end brand" is that amenities are based on chance, service relies on prompting, and responses rely on words. I originally came here for Sofitel’s reputation, but now I just hope everyone will open their eyes and not make the same mistake as me.
