It was a classic building with lovely interiors and a clean, well-maintained space. It's also close to Catalunya Station, so it's very convenient for accessing Barcelona's main tourist sites, and it's become one of my favorite hotels.

Hotel Nouvel is absolutely gorgeous from the out- and inside entrance area, elevator, reception, stairs ... Unfortunately, we had a room that had a window only going to an inner quad that was tiny and dark, so even though the weather was beautiful whilst our stay, in the morning it was difficult to believe there was sunshine out there (we tried to change the room, but it was not possible, because the hotel was fully booked)... Except for that (and we didn't spend a lot of time inside) the hotel was nice and clean with friendly staff, and at a perfect spot for adventures in Barcelona!

Great property, but basic rooms, not coffee maker, or mini-fridge, or any of those basic things. I can't justify the price they ask for the room per night. However, it's located in the heart of La Rambla, with lot of restaurants and bars nearby. I would stay here again.
