Great Pub in a good location. A little tlc was required in our room to make it closer to great. Not many plug sockets, all in the wrong places (sorry).  Staff fabulous, food good. Overall 3.6/5.

Just a brief overnight trip so didn't really use any amenities. Breakfast was good, dining room was overly full so had to go in the conference room, which really should have been laid out properly to use and not abandoned chairs everywhere. Should have had cutlery and condiments in that room too. Overall would stay there again

A place with old world charm and in a great location.  The double bed we had was on the small size, so we wished we'd selected a twin room. Breakfast was good, though water should be provided without having to ask.  The coffee was a disappointing lukewarm warm filter type, despite there being a decent machine in view behind the bar.

We had a lovely greeting and a pleasant suprise our room was ready early so we were able to go straight to the room. The room was spacious, quiet and clean. Lovely toiletries in bathroom. The staff throughout were always friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good although a few items were not replenished for quite a while. We have stayed previously as location is excellent and we are always happy with the service and standard.

Stayed here last night, everything was perfect. Our room was lovely and clean and had everything we needed for one night. The hotel is close to the city so just an uber ride away. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we opted for the breakfast the next day which was delicious. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel with nice big clean rooms. A few issues though - you really need a car to get here as it's a bit far out from the city centre. In my room there was a room service menu and a number to dial for room service, but no phone. The food and drink was ok. During my stay there was only 1 person on the bar and service was a little slow. I ordered a soft drink and it was a bit flat, definitely not worth the ÂŁ4 they charged for it. Because of staff shortages the dining room was filled with tables that needed to be cleaned. Breakfast was also a bit of a disaster. They charge ÂŁ15 for it but definitely not worth it. There's a self serve hot buffet which was fine, nothing exceptional. There was no coffee available, just tea bags and hot water. Also there were no plates available at the continental station - really missing attention to detail when there were quite a few staff members present.

I thought it would only take 5 minutes to get there, but it ended up taking 20 minutes in the rain. I found out that the agency platform charges about 30% more. The community hotel has no elevator, so I had to carry my luggage up by myself. Then I found out that the room was so small that I couldn't unfold my suitcase to take things. The breakfast was a typical British breakfast, which was enough to fill my stomach. What I couldn't accept was that there was no place to put my luggage after I checked out, and they said they were not responsible for the safety of my luggage. No one looked after my luggage, which was really unexpected. Finally, the old lady suggested taking my suitcase to a locker at the station and spending a few dollars to store it. The actual result was that Chester Station didn't have this service. I was stunned! There are two other hotels 3 minutes away from the station, such as Lloyd Hotel, which is better, and the actual price is about 55~60 pounds.

On the first night I was out in a small room which was stuffy and unventilated, however after complaining I was put in a much nicer room for the rest of my stay. The second room had a good view and a/c. Location is superb for Chester Centre.

On the whole a pleasant experience.  From a cleanliness perspective it was fairly good but there were quite a few spiders webs in ceiling corners and under radiators which had likely been there for some time.  Breakfast was fine however when some of our party arrived 10 minutes before the end of serving there were no glasses for juice and no bowls for fruit/cereal to use. Appreciate its close to the end of the time frame but breakfast was still open. Also if you like coffee, then I’d avoid the coffee served at breakfast.
