Seasider Motel

This is a great little motel. It is squeaky clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is in a good location, too. I appreciated that this motel was substantially less expensive than some of the chains and I’m glad we chose it.

The rooms were clean, the staff were super friendly, and the coffee in the lobby in the morning was fantastic! The ac and the heater worked extremely well. Overall, wonderful experience. The location is super convenient for both Bar Harbor and Acadia.

If a hotel or motel is going to charge +$350.00 a night it best be 4 or 5 stars. Unfortunately, too many innkeepers take advantage of the Bar Harbor name to charge outrageous prices, but yet yield a decent stay. When in Bar Harbor, look to a historic property, at least when something is a miss, you can blame it on the age. At seasider motel, you get a 1960's room remodeled enough to look clean and refreshed. Until you realize simple things like having a closet or cabinet to hang up clothing doesn't exist, so you're laying sweaters and jackets on a chair. The shower head faces the door to the shower, try to figure out how to turn the water on without spraying out of the enclosure. The "cool" looking barn door to the bathroom isn't so cool when it's tough to operate and only has a handle on the outside, making the occupant scrambling from the inside to grasp the door. The pillows are the size of cotton balls. I could overlook a lot of these issues if we were talking a motel 6. But at the price, look elsewhere. Before you feel it's sour grapes, this stay at Seasider comes on the heels of traveling through Canada staying at some of the nicest 5 star hotels for $350 to $450 a night. My advice skip Bar Harbor and try Halifax.

This was the perfect location. It was close to Acadia National Park. It was close to the downtown area of Bar Harbor. The staff was friendly and helpful. The staff pointed us to great restaurants. We much enjoyed the breakfasts. There is always water, juice, coffee and snacks for before and after hiking. We would stay here again.

We chose the Seasider for its location and it being the best value in an expensive area. It was a comfortable hotel for all our needs for our 6 day stay. Really enjoyed the ‘grab and go’ breakfast, teas/coffees/juices and snacks (nice little choices for everyone) which were available 24 hours (very much appreciated after returning back from an all day hike). The staff were all friendly and helpful, but a big shoutout to Latoya who looked after our housekeeping - a great housekeeper and lovely lady - ‘Thank you’

We enjoyed our stay at Seasider Motel. Close walk to the attractions. Staff was very helpful! Left my coat in room and they offered to mail it back to me. Room was very clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast was well stocked and good. Price was right!

We arrived early and the clerk gave us the impression we were a bother. We had to leave and come back later. The room was adequate but offers nothing special for the high price tag. An easy walk to the downtown area if you are in good health. Clean, basic accommodation
