I’m always a little hesitant to give reviews about a great spot for fear it will book up and never be available to me again, but this place and the staff were so very nice that I guess I should give credit where credit is due. The Little Fig Hotel is located perfectly on Cottage St with ample parking in the back and 2 pleasant entrances. The reception area is stocked with free coffee (3 different kinds) and free snacks. We met all the staff during our week’s stay and they were all so nice and friendly listening to our adventures and offering suggestions on where to eat, places to visit, etc. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom nice and large. It was so quiet there that we slept soundly and ready for our daily plans. We were a short walk to EVERYTHING including a nice local grocery store and a bike shop where we rented ebikes to tour the carriage trails through Acadia National Park. My husband ordered lobster roll every night at a different place and loved it. An all around pleasant stay in a perfect location.

Lovely little boutique hotel. Very clean and modern, fun quirky decor, and friendly, welcoming staff!! The desk staff go above and beyond to make you feel at home! Plus unlimited free coffee, juice, water, yogurt, and snacks!

We had a lovely stay at the Little Fig Hotel during our vacation time in Bar Harbor, ME! The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The hotel is also in a great location. Very walkable to restaurants, bakeries, museums, and shopping. A special shout out to Kina, who is simply the best host ever! We look forward to visiting the area again and would definitely stay at the Little Fig Hotel. We would also highly recommend the hotel to our family and friends.

If you’re looking for a charming, comfortable place to stay near Acadia National Park, this little hotel is a true treasure. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel not just welcome, but genuinely valued — as if I were an old friend coming to visit. By the time I left, I felt like we were friends. The room was quiet, the bed was extremely comfortable. Not a cheap bed at all and room was extremely clean. The atmosphere is warm and homey, the perfect match for the beautiful Maine surroundings. Evenings brought freshly baked, warm brownies, and mornings started with fresh coffee and delicious pastries — the kind of thoughtful touches that make all the difference. This isn’t just a place to sleep; it’s a place to relax, connect, and feel cared for. I can’t wait to return!

I had a wonderful time at the Fig. My girlfriend and I booked the king annex, it felt like a little outdated apartment which I liked. The staff was incredibly friendly and the location was perfect and very quiet. The grab and go breakfast was very nice. What I didn’t know was that the only way to access the room was by a long stair case. It was on the second floor around the side. This should definitely be stated on the website. If you were in a wheelchair or had bad knees you wouldn’t get up those stairs. Luckily my girlfriend and I are able bodied and could walk normally. Imagine paying $400 for the only room left then seeing those steps? Seriously, that needs to be stated in bold on the website! Not handicap accessible.
