Kralev Dvor Hotel

Poor service and not very friendly Arrived at the hotel but the man could not locate our reservation albeit we had only booked a few minutes before. He suggested we were at the wrong hotel but then showed us to the room. He wasn’t very friendly! We left the hotel at 8:45am but the reception was closed and nobody around. We called a phone number twice that was on the door but nobody answered so we had to leave the key on a hook on the door!!

Absolutely wonderful stay. The kindness of the hosts made it feel like home from home, without the squabbling children or yapping dogs! The hotel was spotless, comfy and incredibly well priced. No hesitation in recommending it, just not when I’m staying, so I can get a room! They have created a warm, relaxed bar area, which is perfect for post ski, pre dinner drinks and, of course, a night cap. This was my third and best stay yet. Will be back next year, if only to drink the fabulous wine Marin gave me, that I had to leave behind the bar. Superb people, lovely hotel and great town.

The hotel was amazing, lovely rooms hotel is spotless lovely small bar area hotel is in walking distance for everything also hotel offer airport pickup plus they will take you up to top of ski road for a charge me and my family returned home today thankyou Kralev Dvor for a wonderful 5 days see you next year !

This hotel informed me that they did not have any availability for my dates 3 months after I had booked and only 5 weeks before I was due to travel. They insisted that I cancel the reservation because they could not put me up. A quick Internet search showed that they were still offering availability for those nights but at twice the price that I had paid 3 months earlier. Beware!

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Kralev Dvor and are already looking at returning! We stayed for a week until Christmas Eve 2021. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the bottom of the ski lift, but they are more than happy to take guests and equipment in their minibus for a small cost of 2 lev each. Both Marin and Mariana are incredibly friendly hosts and couldn't do enough for us on our stay. Mariana serves fantastic meals, both at breakfast and dinner (we ate there for an evening meal twice). The hotel is close to the centre for walking to the bars and restaurants on an evening and is quiet for sleeping at night. The rooms were very clean and warm. We had a lovely view of the mountain from our balcony. They have ski/snowboard storage in the hotel. We can't rate this hotel and hosts highly enough! Look forward to coming back soon, with the rest of the family.

We stayed here for a week’s skiing holiday in February 2022. There are other more expensive hotels in town but we wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Bansko. This family hotel being run by Marin and Mariana is just perfect. The rooms are very clean and warm with lovely balcony views to the pistes. We plan to visit here again in the summer. Mariana will ensure that you eat well and Marin will ensure that you drink well. His Omicron red wine is beautiful and his homemade Rakia is fantastic. Unfortunately one of our party torn their knee ligaments of the third day of skiing but Mariana and Marin were constantly on hand to help her get around the resort with the help of Marin’s trusty Mercedes van. Don’t mess around with Gondola queues, let Marin take you to the top of the Gondola for a minimal cost. Marin will also pick you up from the airport and take you anywhere you like. Ask him to take you to the local hot springs (he knows the best ones). A must is to ask Marin to book you at his friend’s (Dinko) restaurant in the old town of Bansko- it’s fantastic- see for yourself. And for a really tiny cost, Marin will take you to the bottom Gondola station and pick you up again at the bottom station at the end of the day. There is a ski and boot room for your equipment. There is a lovely sauna area in the hotel but we forgot to make use of it. The old town of Bansko is a must and this hotel is a few yards from the main pedestrian area leading to the old town. Marin is a skier and Mariana is a snowboarder so they both understand your sport and your needs. We can highly recommend hotel and we look forward to a special occasion when we can sample Marin’a homemade wines which he kindly presented us with. Very well done Marin and Mariana - you don’t feel like clients at this hotel, you feel more like their guests.
