The Sukhothai Bangkok

This hotel is truly amazing, from the amenities to the service and attitude. We arrived early to check in. The doorman was lovely, and the front desk manager was very nice. We arrived late in the afternoon before check-in, and a Chinese-speaking manager escorted us to our room. A simple greeting was neither awkward nor rude. Our luggage was already in the room. The room was much larger than I expected, with two bathrooms and two sinks, each equipped with a smart toilet seat and slippers for both indoor and outdoor use. The welcome fruit was fresh, and the bed was covered with flower petals. Shortly after, housekeeping arrived to ask if we needed more water or toiletries. The entire hotel is decorated in Hindu-style architecture and decor, a timeworn aesthetic yet still opulent and immaculate. The hallways and rooms feature relief tiles, creating an elegant and mysterious atmosphere. The gardens are exquisite and meticulously maintained. The breakfast spread is extensive, with sterling silver tableware, including milk jugs, vases, and teapots. I ordered coffee and found my last name on the cup. The staff were well-trained, turning tables, changing plates, and serving dishes with impeccable and elegant service. There was a performance in the lobby featuring a yangqin instrument, and the performers greeted me while I was taking photos. The spa room was stunning, reminiscent of a palace. A waiter offered to take photos of us as we passed by. As soon as I sat down at the pool, one waiter brought me ice cold water, while another laid out towels. The entire stay was incredibly emotional, driven by the exceptional service and dedication, treating guests like VIPs. I also deeply respect these dedicated staff. For those seeking a quintessential Thai hotel experience, this gem shouldn't be missed.

The pool and breakfast are great. The location is quiet and convenient to go anywhere. The service staff are very considerate.
