We were able to check in an hour early after sitting at reception for hours with jet lag. The room was large and quiet (but it wasn't that busy).
The pool looked OK, but we didn't have time to try it out.
The staff were nice and helpful and it was clean (except for the bathtub). The hotel is designed for European tourists.
Unfortunately there were no pots or washing-up utensils in the kitchen, so we couldn't use them. Instead, the cleaning lady washed our lunch boxes...:)
The hotel may be centrally located in Bangkok, but not in a touristy central location (but: buses, skytrain and boat bus (recommended) run 1-1.5 km away). There is a lot of poverty outside the door, but there are many (more or less hygienic) street food shops and 2 7-Elevens.
