I visit Bangkok 4 times as year and this was my first time at 137 Pillars. I can’t speak enough of this place, it has become my favourite place to stay and I will always choose it as my base for my future trips in Bangkok, whether for leisure or business. The room with balconies and the pool with the amazing view just make this place your home away from home.

Don't be fooled by the pretty photos - you won't be allowed in!
I booked this apartment solely for the rooftop with an infinity pool, to sunbathe and enjoy the view. The room costs $200, but the hotel is clearly not worth the money, although the room itself is okay.
The main downside is the pool. After 11:00, the sunny side of the regular infinity pool disappears, and you stay in the shade all day. And access to the rooftop with the best view is only available to guests of the executive rooms for $400 - this is not warned anywhere when booking. It is impossible to resolve this issue at the reception, no one is interested.
The second downside is the location. The hotel is on a one-way street with constant traffic jams. It's a 15-minute walk to the main street, you have to wait the same amount of time for a taxi, and sometimes it just doesn't come.
The pros are a clean room and a comfortable bed. The hotel is quiet, it was comfortable to sleep.
But overall - a disappointment. If you are going to sunbathe and enjoy the rooftop, you will have to pay double or look for another hotel.

After 7 years, I visited Bangkok again and stayed at the 137 Apartment Hotel where I stayed that year. It still has the same high-quality apartment-style room configuration and service as before. The maintenance of the entire hotel is very good. I didn't feel the old hotel's shabby feeling when I checked in. Everything is still the same as it was back then. The breakfast may have been changed to a semi-buffet and semi-a la carte format because of the small number of people. Although there are not many categories, the quality is good. I stayed for three nights and the overall experience was good. I highly recommend it!
