The hygiene is not bad. There is a bed-making service at night. However, when I arrived that day, it was daytime and I was not given a hotel tour service. I was told that it was available on the last day. I could also take Muay Thai classes, but I was leaving soon. Other things are OK, it is clean, and the hotel front desk is quite enthusiastic and professional.

This is not the first time we stayed at this hotel (about 3rd or 4th time over the years) so we booked the room type that is fitting. For some reason the reception informed us that we were "upgraded". But it turned out it's not really an upgrade except the name of the room ("royal" or something) which is in fact smaller than our original booking. We called downstairs waiting to change back to our original booking. They agreed to come up and pick up our luggage and show us to our originally booked room. We waited but no one came. Luckily we didn't unpack but frustrated that we had to go downstairs to pick up the keys ourselves.
Apart from that, the whole stay was enjoyable, with great breakfast service, great Sunday brunch, great swimming pool and so on. And we probably will stay here again next time in Bangkok.
The lesson for others is that do your homework, don't automatically trust any "upgrades" (maybe the staff genuinely thought it was an upgrade) and demand change right away, don't wait staff to come to you. Sometimes it's their English standards, sometimes it's just their working pace.
