Second time staying with Mercure in Bangkok Siam. Chose this establishment because of its location, price and service.
Even though it was a 5D4N stay, I used the Fitness Center often and it was nice to have after eating all the delicious food in BKK.
Will probably choose them again if I visit Bangkok in the near future.

Such a great location, very close to MBK Centre and BTS National Stadium stop.
I've seen other reviews saying that for a four-star hotel, this one looks and feels a bit tired. I think that's my only criticism. The decor could do with some updating. Otherwise, I can't fault it and for the price I paid for 7 nights it was a really good stay. Very comfortable bed, great view, good and efficient housekeeping, spacious room and bathroom.
The rooftop pool is pretty cool but the music that plays out there all day is a bit too loud. I would suggest maybe having no music in the morning and daytime, then music in the evening.
I'm a solo female traveller too and I felt very safe here. Also the central location helps and makes it easy and quick to get to places on the BTS.

Nice stay at a convenient location. Friendly staff, rooftop pool had nice views. Bed was slightly uncomfortable and irritated my skin, ended up sleeping on daybed by the window :(

The transportation is convenient, there is a 7-11 downstairs, you can buy supper when you are hungry at night. The room is clean and cost-effective. It is close to a large shopping mall and shopping is also very convenient.

The hotel has a swimming pool, gym, bar and a drinking and leisure area in the lobby. The facilities are sufficient.
Although the hotel is a bit old, the location is very good. There is a 7-11 on the G floor. There is a bigger 7-11 when you turn left. If you like shopping at 7-11, you will be very satisfied! The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from the BTS station and MBK.
The famous Chulalongkorn University Food Festival is only a 15-minute walk away, and Siam Square is 10-15 minutes away.
Personally think this hotel is cost-effective!
