Ramee Strand Inn Hotel

The room was spacious with good furniture and amenities. But it’s more of a lodge than a hotel. The room was clean but looked like not used for some time. There graffiti on the wall but a crack from the ceiling down to the middle was visible on the same wall. The land phone was dead and the bed lamp on one side was missing from its fixture on the wall. It took more than 10 minutes to get hot water from the shower in the night and around 5 minutes in the morning. They had a working desk, executive chair another leatherette chair and one sofa type single chair ***** with a small glass top centre table. The executive chair was not cleaned in a long time and so was the sofa chair. But the tables were good and looked like hard wood. The bed was of king size and very comfortable with enough pillows and duvet in place. There was only one master switch for all the lights other than that in the shower area. There was a kettle and two half-litre water bottles ***** with tea, coffee, cream and sugar. There was a good, spacious wardrobe with a couple of hangers and a digital storage box. There is Meghna restaurant on the ground floor next to the reception and it was very busy. This was more like a lodge than a hotel. The booking included breakfast and at around 7.30 am someone came knocking at the door to take the order for breakfast which was to be delivered in the room at 8.30 am. The masala dosa and vada were good but they came wrapped in pieces of banana leaves and aluminium foil paper in a cover ***** with a wet plate and a spoon. The chutney was spread on the banana leaves and the sambar was in a different cover as we get delivered on Zomato or Swiggy. Problem was there was no bowl to pour the sambar into as it was watery and there were no tissue papers either. Though I had also asked for a coffee o didn’t get it and neither did I get an iron box and board. There was no way to remind them unless I went down to the reception since the land phone was dead. However, the WiFi was working and it didn’t need any password. Overall it was not bad but an average experience as I was on a business trip and ended up here because my booking at the nearby Keys Hotel was denied due to their system issue and it was sold out. I’m grateful that this was just next door and I had to walk hardly 50 meters late in the evening. This is more suitable if someone is travelling by road towards Hosur or Salem and wanted to rest and stop over.

The Worst Experience Ever - Stay Away! This is hands down the most unhygienic hotel I’ve ever seen. Food particles from previous guests were left rotting in the corners of the room, making the entire place smell horrible. The air conditioner sounded like a dying engine, ensuring I couldn’t sleep at all. The bathroom was a nightmare—no ventilation or exhaust, so it stayed damp and had visible fungus. The beds were infested with mites, making it impossible to sleep without constant itching. On top of that, the beddings were filthy, with stains all over them—absolutely disgusting. This place is an embarrassment to the hospitality industry. Avoid at all costs!

Location is great, food was ok. Amenities and services are good. Service is excellent. Room ac is toooooo cold.
