stayed at this wonderful hotel in banff.. the location was very near the city center.. new and clean

My recent stay at this hotel was unfortunately marred by several significant issues, primarily concerning the room design and staff performance. The room design was quite peculiar. While attempting to be functional, the layout felt awkward and impractical. A major concern was the upper bunk, which was virtually uninhabitable due to an extremely low ceiling. This made it uncomfortable and unusable, effectively reducing the room's advertised capacity and comfort. You almost felt suffocated when sleeping there. The steps going up the bunk was also not safe nor comfortable. The noise coming from the concert and pool area were loud during one night. This whole situation resulted us spending a lot extra money in booking a last-minute second room. The front desk staff, regrettably, seemed inadequately trained. On multiple occasions, I was given incorrect directions, leading to unnecessary confusion and wasted time. This lack of accurate information from a key guest service point was frustrating. As a Titanium elite, I was given the wrong welcome amenity - only I discovered when checked into the second room booked by a family member who is also Titanium. Finally, the breakfast experience was also disappointing. The staff working in the breakfast area were consistently slow and exhibited rude behavior. This made what should be a pleasant start to the day an unpleasant and inefficient ordeal. Overall, while some aspects of the hotel might have potential, the fundamental issues with room practicality and staff professionalism at both the front desk and breakfast service significantly detracted from my stay.
