On arrival there was some confusion on the inclusions for our package. This was quickly sorted and we were shown to our room. Fantastic views across the rice fields, vegetable fields and across to the mountains. See pics. The room was well appointed with large comfy bed and large well appointed bathroom. There are two restaurants in the hotel. Toya cafe by the pool and Samaya next to the lobby on the top level. I found the food a little disappointing in both. The rice rolls were bitter tasting and I did not eat them. The restaurant manager was genuinely concerned and offered to provide an alternative which was a nice gesture. Prices are high by Bali standards. There are a couple of Warungs in walking distance where I found the food tastier and much cheaper. The pool is lovely and refreshing. Lovely gardens for strolling. Rice planting activity was interesting but on the expensive side. We used the Grab App to book a ride to the local market 2km up the road. Cost a few dollars, then strolled back down hill to the hotel - around 15-20 minutes easy walk. A nice stay overall.
what a beautiful place, if you want to have a nature vibes, peace, just come to this place, friendly staffs, room was good and clean, not much to say, but go to this place is one of by best choice in lifeeeee xoxo ✨✨ would like to recommend this place to all of my friends, love this place so much for you that read my review, trust me this is a perfect place to stay !!!!
We would have best given 0 stars. We checked in the hotel CLV Hotel and Villas in Bedugul Bali yesterday. We almost disappeared from faith when we saw the hotel. For the first time we were brought to a house outside the hotel. We were told that we now got a room with three bedrooms instead of the Superior room we booked! We were asked to choose one of the three rooms in which we wanted to sleep. The other two were closed directly by the staff. Nice and good the whole would have been to be able to do. But when we looked around in this hotel, the nightmare went on straight away. At the walls everything is full of fungi !!! Even the mirror has which where I wonder how this is possible at all. The lamps are so much muffled and one of them is in plastic film (this is why I don't want to ask the reason anymore)... in one room wall is a hole and the wall is packed together!!! The bathroom is clear of the same shortcomings. The sofa is also crazy and the couch is attached to Tesa film. The staircase also looks like it is in danger of falling. For the price I paid for this and for booking this hotel I would have expected something very different. After we complained at the hotel, we visited two other rooms with exactly the same shortcomings we decided to check out. Four nights would have been unacceptable there and we are both really taking hard in it. We can only not recommend to everyone to make the same mistake as we do and book a room there !!!

The Farm villas, of a very good standard, have an exceptional view of the valley and the Agung and Abang volcanoes, where calm and serenity reign. The design and orientation of the villas, combined with the altitude, mean that air conditioning is unnecessary. Rama who manages the restaurant is very friendly. For the curious, the 'coco oil tour' is recommended. Dewa showed us the property but also the surrounding countryside. Thanks to him. The only weak point is that the restaurant's menu is currently very limited; At our request, however, they prepared an excellent Balinese 'cap cai' for us.
This property was a little hard to find. You have to turn off the main road and then drive through narrow roads to reach it. But boy did we have a pleasant surprise when we reached the property. It has all the amenities a traveler wants and more. As we drove in there was a small area in front of the reception where we could park our car. It was dark and no one was at the reception. We rang a bell there and very soon a girl came. She helped us with our luggage and lead us to our rooms. The rooms were of good size. The bathroom was large by standards with shelves and hanging for clothes. The shower had hot water that flowed instantly. Everything else was good. There was even an electronic drying rack so we could wash our clothes knowing that the rack would dry them by the next day. The room was clean with tv that has Netflix, kettle, coffee and tea. Best of all the bed could be heated with a touch of a switch. We did not know the area was that cold and so didn't bring cold stuff. So we were thankful for the heated bed. Set by the lake as its name implies, it has a tranquil atmosphere, yet at the same time not too far from civilization. The restaurant serves good food. Not exceptional but good enough. Breakfast choice was Indonesian or full American. They even send us goreng pisang daily as snack. We saw the tented rooms, and even those looked good though we did not stay in them but they faced the lake which make them even more idyllic. There is also a gym and massage room. I paid IDR150000 for a massage and it was good. Problem was they had only one masseuse and we had to take turns. We all definitely enjoyed the stay.
Overall it's really good
Relax, the room is also clean, the amenities are complete, the staff is helpful
It's just lacking a water heater, so the room is really cold
A good place, but not in the rainy season! We lived in the clouds for two days. No complaints about the hotel at all, the staff is great, they organized a transfer everywhere we wanted to go. But almost 100% humidity due to the altitude and constant rains! Clothes are constantly either wet or damp, they have no other state. If you live in another season, then the views and warm weather will please you more.
From recommendations - I would put a couple of chairs in the room and heaters. And to warm up and dry things.
A beautifully designed hotel in the highlands of Wanagiri, the weather is cool and temperate after the humidity of Ubud. If you want to get away from it all this is the place, very peaceful and idyllic setting with a heated open-air swimming pool overlooking the jungle, mountains, and the sea. There is a waterfall a few minutes walk away. The room and bed were huge, everything very clean and well-maintained. Excellent shower. Food in the restaurant was delicious, staff are very friendly and professional. However, to make the most of this location you need your own transport, which we didn't have, so we only stayed one night before moving to Bedugul.
Above the clouds is in a magical place. The serenity of the location makes a great get away from crowds, shopping or anything that can be distracting for inner reflection and contemplation. The views from your window, mountain paths or rice terraces are breath taking. My window was a daily look into Bali' past and present.
The rooms and bungalows are spacious. The site is built using traditional local architecture, which gives a greater connection to the land and its people. Bamboo is strong and flexible just like a Yogi.
The meals were great and so was the humble service with a smile. It's a great place for a meditation or a Yoga retreat.
ППавел ДаниловA great place with a suitable area. A little upset the broken road to the place. And it is desirable to expand the range of dishes in the cafe. Enjoyed the silence ...
KKomang WartaStrategic place to stay with family. Hot water works normally unfortunately no kettle provided to make hot water if you want to drink. Because the temperature is very cold when you make hot drinks
HHartosoAccessing the location is challenging and somewhat unsafe; it is not recommended to travel there after dark. However, the service provided by the staff is excellent. It’s advisable to avoid visiting during the rainy season, as there are many insects.
CCuriosity61995309961Very close with Botanical Garden, sufficient parking space and large room. In cold mountain environment, big room feels like burden rather than advantages. It feels colder and the room do not have heater. Hot water in shower consistent but low pressure. If you are looking for basic place to sleep and bathing, well this place definitely a good options. But if you want to relax a bit enjoying cold breeze with a cup of tea, choose somewhere else.
HHosea TeddyPopitan Garden Campground: A Scenic Retreat with Friendly Service
Our recent stay at Popitan Garden Campground was a mixed bag. While the stunning scenery and friendly staff were definite highlights, some aspects of the experience could be improved.
Pros:
* Breathtaking Views: The campground's location on the edge of Danau Beratan offers unparalleled views of the lake. The surrounding natural beauty, with lush forests and rolling hills, is truly captivating.
* Exceptional Cleanliness: We were impressed by the cleanliness of the campground, particularly the bathroom.
* Warm Hospitality: Pak Wayan, the caretaker, provided a warm welcome and ensured a smooth check-in process. The staff throughout our stay were friendly, helpful, and always available when needed.
* Comfortable Accommodations: The glamour camping tents provided comfortable and cozy accommodation.
Cons:
* Limited Food Options: The lack of nearby restaurants and limited food options at the campground itself could be a drawback for some visitors.
* Rough Road Access: The road leading to the campground is in poor condition with numerous potholes, which may be challenging for some vehicles.
* Minor Maintenance Issues: While the overall cleanliness was excellent, there were a few minor maintenance issues with some amenities, such as a broken soap container and a damaged towel rack.
Overall:
Despite the minor drawbacks, Popitan Garden Campground offers a unique and memorable experience. The stunning scenery, friendly staff, and comfortable accommodations make it a worthwhile destination for those seeking a peaceful retreat amidst nature.
Tips for Future Travelers:
