This hotel is a nightmare. Once you go inside, you will get many kinds of disease, itchy skin, and cancer from mold

Due to black mould and much needed refurbishing, Melasti Beach Resort is unsafe and unhealthy. Trip.com should not promote substandard hotel accommodation. Attached is mould found in room 160.

We have stayed at the Melasti on several occasions as well as many other resorts and hotels. Unfortunately this time the main pool with the swim up bar near reception was under maintenance. The other pool below where we stayed is lovely and deep but sadly to hot (like a bath) for us. But other people seem fine with warm water. As it is an older hotel I recommend staying in the newer part which is the all white building. The older parts just lacking in maintenance including plumbing issues. The cottages closer to the beach are ok also. It is a fantastic location on the beach one side and shops and restaurants bars both sides etc It is a budget hotel and our latest room 225 in the newer part was just fine. Large comfortable, Verandah over looking over the pool and good aircon. As was 250 the time before but it didn't have pool view. Buffet breakfast usually included is ok. Different dishes every day. Price, location location

Hotel location is fantastic for the budget

Adequately considering the cost of the hotel, I will say that everything was ok. The staff is very helpful and friendly, 10 out of 10. Breakfast is ok, considering my tastes: vegetables, different ways of cooking eggs, salads, fruits, coffee. There were also pastries and a side dish. The beach is across the road, close. There are waves on the beach, actually this is Kuta, as expected. For quite reasonable prices you can learn to surf. The hotel is green, 3 swimming pools. Beautiful statues and carved wooden furniture. The air conditioner broke upon entry, they fixed it right away, what fell off by the bed, they also fixed it. The only thing in the room was dust on the lamps and the bed (And it's inconvenient that there is no outlet by the bed (in my room). The wifi was poorly received, especially on the laptop, I had to improvise and distribute it through the phone. The shower in the bathroom was ok, but next to it it didn't work well, problems with the shower head, it's a pity, it would have been more convenient. The room stock is old, but the price matches the quality. Every day cleaning. There is a store with groceries and other things next to the hotel. There is a gym, overall it's ok, you can work out.

Excellent staff, very smiling and friendly. Although the hotel is located in Kuta, it is very calm and quiet, no one bothered me to sleep (for this area - this is rare) Breakfast is not wow, but the restaurant at the hotel serves very decent food. I would like better cleaning, but I understand that this problem is common on the island. The tap water is salty. The air conditioner barely cooled, although it worked at maximum. For its money, the hotel is decent, there are some shortcomings, but they do not spoil the vacation.
