Impeccable service but the location is a little bit not convenient

My friend and I organised a trip to Bali and we stayed at Ubud for two nights. This place is unique, secluded and exquisite. It's unlike any other resort with a massive sign to point at the direction. From the moment our driver entered resort driveway, we felt the great sense of privacy and seclusion. The whole place is like a village with the lobby, the restaurant and the gaming room as the centre and rest of the tents (aka your hotel rooms) scattered all over the property, with unique themes. We stayed at the Archiver's room. It's stunning and one-of-a-kind. The tent came with a private pool facing the jungle, and the outdoor shower is fantastic. I loved the bathroom design and all the facilities. Bed was so comfortable, and staff members were kind and helpful, and they remembered our names. The complimentary afternoon tea and cocktails were so great. The cocktails are above and beyond my expectations. If you are looking for gifts to bring back to your family and friends, I strongly recommend the coffee soap bar. My friend and I loved how it exfoliates and in the meantime not leaving dryness on the skin. The Indonesian food served at the restaurant is a must-try. I highly recommend the pork ribs and nasi goreng. What makes Capella so unique is that it provide you with the chance to immerse into the local community to engage and discover local heritage and culture, and meeting some fascinating people along the way. Overall, this place is one of a kind. During our stay, I heard other guests compared Capella at Ubud with Four Seasons in Chiang-Mai. I have stayed at both places, and the two have completely different vibes and ambience. Four seasons rooms are actually brick and wood constructions but the Capella rooms are actually " tents", with wood frames and a canopy as the roof. So we fell asleep both nights while listening to the raindrops on the canopy. It's so soothing and relaxing. Capella has offered the opportunity to enjoy a luxurious service and experience while embracing the wildness. Additional: Shout out to Dedy and staff members who offered such above and beyond services. After we left Capella instantly we regreted of not purchasing the coffee soap bars as souvenirs. When I called the Lobby, Dedy arranged to have them delivered all the way from Ubud to Jimbaran to our resort. It's not only my escape experience but also the fantastic people from Capella that left such a deep impression on me. It's definitely a 10/10 experience. I highly recommend to stay.

Was looking forward to the stay but was left disappointed. Probably not use to staying close to nature and the rain just didn't help plus my partner and I had some sort of stomach upset during the last day.

The experience at Capella Ubud is really disappointing, and there are so many complaints that I can't help but complain. First of all, the service is not proactive at all. From check-in to check-out, the staff seems very passive, and will not take the initiative to ask about needs. Even the basic guidance and introduction are perfunctory, which does not match the service level that the brand should have. Secondly, the details related to consumption are too unreasonable: when checking out, I encountered a situation where I didn't get change. I thought they would take the initiative to wipe off the change, but in the end, neither the change nor the change was made, which made people feel very disrespected; the rented motorcycle was not only broken, but there were always small problems when riding, and I didn't add enough oil. I was worried about the lack of oil not long after driving, which was a very bad experience. In addition, the facilities and catering were not up to standard: the breakfast category was pitifully small, the choice was single, and the taste was also ordinary; the swimming pool was not open 24 hours a day, and I couldn't relax and swim at night; the swimming pool in the room was not heated, and the water temperature changed with the weather. In many cases, the water temperature was not suitable and could not be used properly. Overall, whether it is the service, facilities or control of details, it is very disappointing. It is totally not worth the price and is not recommended for everyone.

This is a very unique tent hotel located in the Ubud rainforest. The room is generally clean and the service is very good. Occasionally there are still some small insects in the room, which is unavoidable. The overall experience is still very good, and I will come again next time.

Capella is definitely the most unsatisfactory hotel in Bali. Fortunately, I only booked one day. The whole time, I either climbed the mountain with a cane to go to dinner or climbed the mountain with a cane for breakfast. There were so many stairs and insects that I was exhausted. The noise in the middle of the night affected my sleep. The dark bathroom was uneven. I got up in the middle of the night to urinate and fell. The hotel also thought it was normal. It probably happens often. The main dish of dinner, grilled shrimp, was dead shrimp, not fresh, and I had diarrhea in the middle of the night. I don't know what the swimming pool in the 2 square meters room is for. The river view room I booked had no river, only mountains. In short, it was a very disappointing experience. It's not an exaggeration to say that I paid for it!

An impeccable trip🧳 A must-visit place for hotel lovers and wild luxury lovers. Very unique environment, everything will definitely bring you a novel experience! The room is the most satisfactory, very unique, and the swimming pool is great. Dinner tasted the restaurant's omakase. To be honest, the taste and ingredients are average, but the environment is very good. It's still great to enjoy dinner and a drink there! In short, everything is perfect, it's a place I will definitely go again!
