Additionally, a new and free town shuttle stop has been added to the "Lift" bus route and is accessible just east of our condo, about a 100 yards away. The Lift is an easy and convenient ride to the Winter Park Ski Resort. Nestled in the pines and surrounded by soaring peaks, Winter Walk is a vintage chalet with easy access to all of the activities at the Winter Park base. One of the few pet friendly properties that offers close to the slope convenience with the ambiance of a private ski lodge. You'll be a 1/3 mile hike or bike to the base area and with world class skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, and forest service trail access. When you're done, come back home, kick back on the living room sofa (with views of the ski area runs) then relax in your private 6 person hot tub. Winter Walk offers custom wood finishes, gas fireplace, and views of the ski slopes and surrounding mountains from virtually every window.First, you will find 4 dedicated parking spaces, 2 are covered. We also provide a 50 amp RV outlet (NEMA 14-50) so guests can charge their electric vehicles on the property. The entry way is a mud room with tile floors, bench seating, and plenty of pegs and shelves for stowing your gear. We also provide bowls for your pooch and extra dog food just in case. Next is the "spa room" with a private 6 person indoor hot tub, cedar wood storage/changing room, shower, sink, toilet, and stacked washer and dryer.The next floor up is the kitchen, living room, master bedroom and private bathroom. Enjoy the family size farmers table or the 4 seat bar for your next meal. Cozy up on the leather recliner sofa, next to the high efficiency gas fireplace for unencumbered views of the ski area's signature runs. Our side deck is covered (protected from the snow) with a Weber gas grill. Around the corner is a huge wraparound trex deck with plenty of outdoor seating and a dining area for warm weather months.The third floor has another bedroom and the bunk room (with a full on the bottom and twin bed on top) along with a shared bathroom. It opens to the living room with unique sliding doors that can close it off for privacy. The fourth floor (accessible by ladder) is a small loft with a memory foam futon for overflow sleeping. It's not suitable for small children or anyone not comfortable with climbing up and down a ladder. We also feature private decks with mountain views from each bedroom so fresh mountain air is just steps away.Guest access...You will have exclusive access to the entire chalet. The parking area and front deck spans both units A and B and is separated by a small wall.Other things to note:Winter Walk is a rustic vintage ski lodge. Don't expect ultra high end finishes or chi-chi designer furnishings. Do expect a comfortable, functional, and fun property with all the modern conveniences you need. If your priorities lean towards a love of the outdoors over your sheet's thread count, then Winter Walk may be the place for you.We allow one well behaved dog for a $50 fee. In some cases we will allow more for an extra charge. Payment for the extra pet will need to be made through Venmo or by check. Please let us know what your pet situation is before you make the reservation and we will try and accommodate.Note on occupancy: 9 is the maximum based on filling every bed to capacity but 7 is a more comfortable number of guests.Neighborhood highlights...The neighborhood is called Old Town Winter Park. It's a small residential area with an eclectic mix of older and new million dollar+ homes. For the most part, it's very quiet and a great place to take a stroll around the block. You can walk from our place to the ski area in about 10 minutes by going to the end of our street, taking a steep path up a hill, crossing the railroad tracks, and boom - you're at the base with the Gondola only 50 yards. Now that's convenient! A great asset, is the Fraser River Trail - the headwaters of the Colorado River! It's a 3 mile paved walking, biking, skiing path that follows the Fraser River into downtown Winter Park. It's our favorite place for longer dog walks, or cross country ski touring in the winter. Come dinner time, you can go across the street to the A-Frame Club where you can enjoy a high end dinner and drinks in a very cool retro-ski environment (reservations recommended).Getting around...Most of our guests have a car for getting to downtown, the grocery, etc. but it's not a must. There's a free shuttle stop at the end of our street which is great for an easy way to get to the ski area. Getting into town by bus is possible, but not overly easy or convenient. This gorgeously appointed townhome is perfectly situated within walking distance to downtown WP and the shuttle to Winter Park resort. A level 2 EV charger is available to guests (install date 7/19). Our townhome is perfect for families! It has a private hot tub off the kitchen and has very fast internet speeds (up to 600 mb) for those needing to work or attend class. The Townhome offers three bedrooms with a Queen bed in the master bedroom. The second upstairs bedroom contains a queen bed with a twin loft bed. The lower bedroom suite has a queen over queen bunk bed which is perfect for 4 teens or a couple with kids on the top bunk. Unit sleeps up to 8 people.Each bedroom has it's own private bath! The bedroom configuration can sleep up 6-8 adults or 4 adults with 6 kids. Additionally, we have a crib mattress that is perfect for small kiddos and a pack-n-play. Each bedroom has a PureGuardian humidifier as the mountain air can be so dry. Fans are offered as well. The main level offers a cozy gas fireplace, TV with an Apple TV, and a nice kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. All of this is right in the middle of downtown Winter Park - you'll never want to leave!||| Bedrooms |||A good night's sleep shouldn't be something you worry about or miss on vacation. Perfect for couples or families, you'll find four bedrooms - two with king beds, one with a queen bed, one with a twin bed. One king bedroom has an en suite bathroom making it a true master suite; the other king bedroom shares a bathroom with the twin bedroom. The twin bedroom also includes a sitting area for the kids who want to try their hands at Rock Band or other games on the Xbox 360. The queen bedroom on the main level has a bathroom to itself, although it is not en suite.Bringing a kiddo too small for a bed? We got you! There's a pack and play in the non-master king bedroom closet. Every room has extra pillows, sheets, and blankets in the closets.The bedrooms sleep 7 comfortably, and with the pack-n-play, we sleep 8.||| Bathrooms |||There are 3 bathrooms. All bathrooms will have hand soap, a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Towels and washcloths are also provided. Removing makeup? Please use the towels marked for that :)||| Kitchen |||Don't worry about dragging your own kitchen with you on vacation - this one is fully equipped. Cook your five star dinners on the gas range, and bake your grandma's famous muffins in the morning! There are multiple ways to stay caffeinated: a french press, as well as a coffee maker are available for your use. Whole coffee beans are also provided, and there is an electric coffee grinder for the freshest of brews. The fridge does have an ice maker for those frozen margs in the summer. You'll find a blender to help with those, too. Slow-cooking a pot of chili for your apres ski dinner? There's a Crockpot for that. Need to store the leftovers? A nice stack of "Tupperware" is at your disposal. You'll also have aluminum foil, ziplocs, and some plastic wrap. Salt, pepper, sugar, olive oil, and a variety of spices are also stocked. We tried to think of everything, so if we missed a necessity, feel free to let us know :)||| Parking |||There's an attached two car garage on the bottom floor. From November 1 through May 31, this is your only overnight parking option on site. In the summer, however, additional parking is available on Lions Gate Drive on a first come, first served basis. The garage door is 101.5" wide (wide enough for our 2020 Subaru Forester) and the height is roughly 93.5" tall (tall enough for the 2020 Subaru Forester with an Inno topper); you may want to check your vehicle's dimensions before booking with us if parking in the garage is a must for you (i.e., you book with us between November 1 and May 31 and will be bringing a car). There is ample storage space for bikes, and any other outdoor gear you bring with you.||| Washer/Dryer |||A washer and dryer are available for your use inside the townhome.III Pets IIIWe do allow dogs. If you are bringing a dog (2 maximum per stay), please let us know prior to booking. There is a $150 nonrefundable pet fee if you bring your furry best friend.Pet rules are pretty basic. If they have an accident, clean it up. Don't let your dog on our furniture. If you do need to leave your dog unattended, crate him. If you didn't bring a crate, we have one in the garage you're welcome to use.
