Cub Lake is a pristine no wake lake, with a sandy bottom and shallow entry from the dock. The cabin sits on a hill with multi-level decks (and stairs) that take you down to the lake level. The levels include a fire pit area, an outdoor dining space, and a dock with room to lounge. Available for use is a pedal boat, two kayaks, an 18-foot floating mat, and fishing gear.As soon as you enter the cabin, you are immediately greeted with window views of the lake! This first floor is designed for open-concept living, complete with a fully-stocked kitchen, spacious living room, dining room, and bar area. The living room includes a gas fireplace and 65” Samsung Smart TV with Roku connectivity (BYOP - bring your own passwords). The rest of the main level consists of a laundry room with a washer, dryer, and ample storage, as well as one full bathroom, complete with a shower and separate clawfoot tub.As you move upstairs, the cabin charm continues, with wood wall paneling, hand-carved staircase railings, and stained glass windows. It includes one full bathroom with a shower/tub combo and 3 bedrooms - one with a king bed, another with a queen bed, and the last with a queen bed and two twin beds. We call the last bedroom, the suite room because it’s huge! It boasts a reading corner, work area with desk and bookshelf, and an oversized closet.We are dog-friendly! The dog fee is $250 per stay, and a maximum of 2 dogs allowed. Please let us know if you are bringing a fur friend so we can prep the house with amenities for your arrival. Please refrain from letting them on the beds. LJ's River Cottage accommodations include a two story cottage, living/ dinning room, full kitchen, bathroom, jacuzzi tub, stand up shower and direct t.v. Upstairs a large room with two queen size beds and two roll away beds. There is also a deck with chairs. Every thing is fully stocked and furnished.Shared fire pit and dock to the beautiful Manistee River. The priority is backed up to miles of state land. With miles of two tracks for your four wheeling pleasure or snowmobiling.There is also a state access shooting range along with a public access boat ramp. We by law are not able to turn down service dogs. However, we don’t recommend having service animals at our location. We are nestled in the woods and require using poison to keep the critters out of the cabin.
