This is a large resort with football field, golf course, children's playground, outdoor swimming pool, hotel single room and family room. We booked a one-bedroom (including kitchen, balcony, living room). The location of the hotel is only a short walk from the attractions. 5 minutes, there is a small road to the beach, which is very convenient. The room particularly pleased me that the kitchen supplies are all available (you only need to buy your own ingredients and ingredients), and there are washing and drying machines. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent and the waiters were nice. Since we are self-driving, we cannot give advice on public transportation.

The room is large, the air conditioner is powerful, and the kitchen utensils are all available. There is a direct view of the pool and a perfect sea view from the room. It only takes 3.5 to take a taxi from the train station, and there is a very large beach when you go out, and you can enjoy the entire sea view exclusively. The staff is very friendly, you can pay according to whether you want to eat breakfast or not, because of personal reasons, I failed to check out on time and was delayed by 15 minutes, and no one reminded me, and there was no extra charge.

From the very beginning when we arrived at this Hotel 23rd September 2022 the lady on the Reception was very professional and welcoming. We arrived just after 12.00 hrs and the lady advised that our room may not be ready but she still made a telephone call to housekeeping. Unfortunately it was not ready but we were able to store our cases and go and explore. When we returned back the room was ready, the porter took our cases to the room and it was perfect, room 31 overlooking the pool, very clean, modern and well equipped for our needs. The following morning the breakfast was amazing and I mean amazing I have never seen a hotel accomodate every taste it was absolutely fantastic. I cannot comment on the restaurants available because we like to eat out to taste the culture of the area we are visiting. The pool area looked lovely but we are not pool people we like exploring but that is our choice. We did on return from our days out sit on our balcony which was spacious and had a lovely view of the pool. In the mornings we did see how the hotel pay attention to detail with the cleaners out cleaning the beds and pool area. We did have a drink the bar area one evening which was reasonably priced and it is a lovely area to relax. I would have no problem in recommending this hotel to my friends and family in fact we are looking to book again next September.

Can't tell you how amazing this hotel is - we go to it every 6 months. I wouldn't go anywhere else now. Im ridiculously fussy and drive myself mad to be honest, I've always had issues with my childs health from he was little so we have always needed to bleach everywhere and travel with Dettol wipes and anti- mite plug ins and goodness what else but I have come to learn that i dont need to do this in this hotel, you could eat your dinner off the floor as we say in Belfast. We took my pops away this time with us because unbelievablyhe has never had a foreign holiday, and he's nearly 70 years old - he was blew away. Food is amazing - My son Jack has ADHD &Autism, and he is extremely fussy about his food, what it looks like, what it feels like, the textures, the colours. It's a nightmare, but he loves the grub at Vila Galé. There's never an issue. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, pool bar, Alá Carté restaurant, ”The Masafina”. There is so much to choose from. My daughter Annie loves the food too, she's usually eats like a mouse but eats like a horse when we stay here, haha. There's nothing better for a parent in my humble opinion, to see your children sitting down to lovely big plates of healthy food from all different continents. There's a spa, 3 different steam rooms, massage rooms, yoga room, a big Gym, jacuzzi, large heated indoor pool, tennis courts, golf course, splash pool Park especially for the children(and big kids ie: adults haha), volleyball pitch, football pitch, table tennis, adventure park, big trampoline (which is really good fun), fruit tree orchards, herb gardens, pool tables, darts tables. There's things I will be leaving out because they weren't as important to us. This hotel works hard for conservation, they grow their own fruit. There's olive trees everywhere all over the hotel grounds too. The grounds that surround the hotel span a couple of miles- it's a beautiful walk. Obviously they have an outdoor pool too, but you see it in the brochures and yes, it really does look that stunning. I should probably mention that the pool bar don't just do ”run of the mill” food- we are all vegetarians so we always get stuck with things that way. They do the most gorgeous veggie wraps, salads, veg burgers etc. The pool bar menu is stunning. The ice cream is Carté Ďor and they have an amazing sugar free range as a family member is a type 1 diabetic, which has led us all not to take sugary drinks. The public toilets are always in immaculate condition, always spotless, shining, soap, toilet roll. No problems there. Rooms are lovely too. Housemaid are amazing and do an amazing job. The restaurant staff are amazing. The hotel staff at reception are great too. I hope this review helps, I highly recommend the Vila Galé Lagos, Preia Meia, Portugal. Its expensive in some peoples opinion but- to me I always believe you get what you pay for and if my children are looked after and happy, that's all I want. I'm 100% happy. Book a room- you won't regret it. Mi

This is the email I have sent to the hotel manager on return to UK, I would stress that the apartments, complex, restaurant and staff are superb, but you can see what spoiled an expensive week for me . Dear Manager I would like to thank you and all your staff for a lovely stay in your apartments. My husband and I stayed in apartment 211 from the 10th of September for 7 days. The apartment and complex are very pretty and always clean. The food in the restaurant is well priced and excellent quality. However, I would particularly like to thank all your staff from the maids to the receptionists and the restaurants and bar staff. They are all very helpful and very polite and are a credit to your apartments. We would like to thank Ines as she tried to deal with a slightly distressing problem. You may be aware that in the garden area outside room 211 there is an injured seagull. It cannot fly and was killing the smaller birds for food (which was not pleasant to see and hear – I couldn’t sit out on the balcony), it was also distressing to see the seagull struggle for food and water. Ines tried to get the relevant authority to come and collect the bird but they hadn’t turned up when we left. Of course, now with the terrible wildfires they will be even more stretched. I wanted to ask the management if they could look at this situation and try to resolve it , even if it means paying for a vet to attend and take of the seagull. A highly recommended hotel! If you drive from Seville to Lisbon, you can stay here for one night! The town is beautiful. This hotel is perfect except for the room! The Michelin restaurant downstairs tastes good too! Especially breakfast, the breakfast is rich and exquisite! The breakfast has fried steak and lamb chops, and the taste is very good! When I checked in, I was a little bit of an episode. The hotel closed the room. I still sold the basic room. After I went to the store, I started to say that there was no room. Later, I said that there is a room for sea view. I need to add money. However, Ctrip has negotiated internally and super-fast communication with online customer service. After the call, I immediately went to the front desk. Hotel room is small but very clean. The terrace is very big and the sun is beautiful. The hotel is right next to the beach. The scenery is very invincible. The front desk staff compares nice breakfast is really super disgusting. I have seen the most unpalatable meat and sausages are artificial meat. Fruit is canned coffee. The total price is very cheap. Breakfast is good. There is a small shop in the downstairs. Simple daily necessities can be bought. No drinking water in the room, buy it yourself.

Stayed for a week early September on our first visit to Lagos having previously (20+ years) stayed in Quarteria and Albufeira. Lagos is a lovely resort without any of the hen/stag parties that flew out with us from Bristol to Faro. We booked a marina view room and really enjoyed the view and early morning sunshine. The road outside the hotel is dual carriageway with frequent crossing points but traffic noise was not a problem due to excellent double glazing. The hotel only offers breakfast which was high quality and plenty of choice with particularly good coffee and fresh OJ. Rooftop terrace was also good for a late afternoon spot of relaxation. Didn't try the lobby bar which was always open but felt too quiet, especially given the marina bars were only a short stroll away. The location is good for the marina, the old town and a few good local restaurants as well. The price was very good as was the service throughout our stay and in advance, including arranging our transfer to/from Faro airport. The payment reminder arrived as expected 9 days before arrival and gave 48hours to pay and was very easy to follow. The room was of a high standard and well equipped with effective aircon, nice shower & toiletries, kettle, fridge and coffee maker. Would definitely recommend staying here.
We have been visiting the Hotel Belavista for over 20 years now and have always had a most enjoyable holiday here. The hotel staff are extremely pleasant and helpful, Elke and Zinica on reception go out of their way to ensure that you have everything you require and sort out any problems that might arise. The standard of cleanliness of the hotel is excellent and the housekeeping staff keep the rooms and bathrooms exceptionally clean. Rosa has been there for the 20 years of our visits and works so hard with a real pride in her work. She is an absolute treasure for this hotel. The restaurant and pool bar staff were friendly and helpful and Manny was invaluable in managing breakfast as he has always done. The restaurant would be lost without him. We had a lovely holiday overall and enjoyed our break as we have always done. The hotel is in the process of being renovated and we feel we need to make the following comments. (as the new spa in the basement was not yet open on our visit this year we cannot comment on that). However the pros and cons of the renovations we experienced in our opinion are: Pros: Public areas and rooms have been modernised with new soft furnishings and the bathrooms have had a much needed upgrade. All very nice. New furniture on balcony, 2 chairs plus one comfortable chair (note, 2 comfortable chairs are needed as the chairs round the table are very uncomfortable to sit on and have no arms). Pool furniture has been replaced and is modern with two curtained day beds if you like that sort of thing. Fridges have been retained, an absolute must in the rooms here, along with tea and coffee making facilities. We understand that extra room mirrors and washing line on balcony are to be replaced too. Great news! Cons: sun loungers have been chosen for cheapness and clearly not sat upon by whoever chose them. They have a hard bar under the seat exactly where you sit and they are totally uncomfortable to use. Maybe ok if you only have two nights here but for a week or longer they are dreadful. They require replacing or a foam topper provided, deep enough not to feel the bar. Whilst the new umbrellas are very effective there are insufficient of them to go round if it is very hot. They are also cheap and the one we used already had one corner that had come away from frame. The pool bar has insufficient protection from the sun if you want to sit and eat there. There is a new wooden canopy but it doesn't cover all the tables and still lets sun through. This stopped us eating there at lunch time. Breakfast - oh dear! For twenty years we had the best ever cooked breakfast here - not anymore. The cooked food ie bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms are served in a mountain of garlicky grease and the bacon is no longer the lovely back bacon we used to get - again all on the cheap. We asked for poached eggs every day and only once were they cooked properly, mainly totally hard as bullets or on one occasion totally underdone. We tried to ask
This place was pretty perfect for us! It had everything you need and plenty more too but without being unwelcoming or unfriendly. The staff were so lovely and seemed pleased to help whenever we asked anything of them. The room we stayed in was large, lovely, beautifully clean and provided all we could need as well as looking out over the ocean. We spent 5 nights without any issues at all and really loved our time there. The breakfast each morning was something we looked forward to as it was varied and great quality with variation each day and felt like a real treat. The decor is classy and understated in a way that makes you feel at home but also like you are getting a treat. Upon arrival we learned there was a sauna you could book and use which was small but perfect for us in an evening after good hikes during the day. The pool was cool but kept very well and, with everything, very relaxed and not loud or busy. The place was clearly pretty booked up but never felt busy or anything other than very relaxed and restful for us. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to rest and enjoy in the area!
GGuest UserVery cute BB tucked away in the city center of Lagos by the water. Staff was very welcoming and the breakfast was a solid continental type. We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed the location of the hotel. Very close to both bus and train station and again in the center of the old city so you can walk to numberous resturants and activities. There are only stairs here however if that is a problem for anyone. We stayed on the first floor and I believe there are only 3 or 4 rooms in total. Would stay here again. Quaint and small.

A serene haven the minute you step into property from street, our junior suite was heavenly comfortable and spacious and clean. Free water every day and amazing breakfasts, peaceful location. Pools small but ideal for a cooling dip . One of if not best place we have ever stayed and amazingly good value too. Great location as well are happy to walk 20 mins into town, or 5 to near beach.
GGuest UserIt was an excellent experience , all very well starting with very sympathetic and very nice staff , the perfectly clean clothes , very soft the sticky coats , The very quiet environment with a spectacular view of the sea and super clean pool.
KKarenLoved our stay here in Lagos...it was walking distance to the grotto and the old town. The shared kitchen was a bonus and was really clean. There was a jacuzzi in the back yard but didn't use it. For the price this place was perfect for us.
