The biggest highlight of this Baoquan trip was surprisingly this guesthouse right at the entrance of the scenic area! 🏡 I thought it was just for convenience, but I was unexpectedly pleasantly surprised by a ”free room upgrade”! The room was spacious and bright, tastefully designed, and offered a tranquil view of the mountains from the window. Even more remarkable were the thoughtful details: patient and detailed explanations of the route… The warmth of the service was even more impressive than the underfloor heating in the room.

The hotel rooms are spacious, bright and hygienic, the facilities are brand new, the reception boss is young and handsome, and the rooms are upgraded for free. What moved our husband and wife was that they had checked out the next day and were going to drive to the scenic spot to travel. The boss intimately told us that we could park the car at the entrance of his hotel. He sent us to the entrance of the scenic spot and left the phone. Every room has floor-to-ceiling windows with translucent lattices. Lying in bed and gazing out is like gazing at a painting. Although the B&B is close to the scenic area, it's a tranquil retreat, surrounded by fields and offering sweeping views of the mountainous landscape. Whether indoors or outdoors, every moment you snap a photo is captivating! In the evening, we sat on the third-floor balcony, enjoying the breeze, eating, drinking, playing, and chatting. It was so relaxing! The owner and his wife were so kind, welcoming, and attentive, always accommodating. They also offered recommendations for nearby restaurants and hidden gems. They're a truly down-to-earth and friendly family, and chatting like long-lost friends. Time seems to slow down here. If there is one regret, it is probably that my steps became extra heavy when I left. I will come back next time. See you next time at Half Acre Farm!

I didn't have the chance to try the restaurant or the breakfast, as my schedule was very tight. The hotel is a little isolated. The nearest shopping centre is around 2km from the hotel. The hotel staff can assist you in taking delivery at the hotel. Definitely stay again if I ever visit Xinxiang in the future. The only negative of the hotel is that, although the hotel is new, the power sockets accommodate only Chinese plugs and USBs, so if you are travelling from Europe, you should bring your own adaptor.

A breath of fresh air among B&Bs! First off, each room has its own Midea washing machine – a unique touch! Second, there's a tea station in the room, perfect for a traditional tea ceremony. And third, the roast chicken was incredibly authentic, far superior to any ordinary mountain chicken; two of us ate it for three meals. A quick tip: you can't park directly in front of the B&B, so if you have a lot of luggage, remember to ask the owner for help.

Highly recommend! The guesthouse's location is superb, right inside the scenic area. You can take the kids to play in the water as soon as you step out. We initially planned to play there for one day and explore other places on the second, but the kids didn't want to leave for either of the two days. Plus, if you communicate with the owner in advance, you can drive your car right up to the guesthouse, which is super convenient for getting around. The only thing is that if there are a lot of cars once you're inside, it can be a bit challenging to navigate. Since my driving skills aren't great, we didn't drive right to the guesthouse entrance and parked across the river instead. They still picked us up and dropped off our luggage, which was very convenient. The surrounding environment is quiet and peaceful, and it's very close to the stream for playing in the water, perfect for families with kids. The owner is also very friendly!

The boss is very enthusiastic and the service is very good. The key is that the dishes made by the chef are absolutely delicious. The location is invincible, in Guoliang Village, mainly because it is cool in summer, there is no need to turn on the air conditioner, and the natural breeze is very comfortable. The children don't want to leave after living here.
