Borneo Coastal Residence @ Imago Mall

The facilities were okay but the pool was very nice. We had no hot water in our room. We switched it on and waited for 2 hours but nothing. There were ants everwhere as well. The lady that met us out front to show us in was very good though and we appreciated her assistance.

The apartment is more comfortable than the hotel. First, there is good air circulation. Second, there is space for children. Third, they can cook by themselves. It is very convenient for shopping and grocery shopping. You need to swipe your card to come in downstairs. There are two doors without worrying about safety. The aunt has a friendly cleaning attitude. There is a bar street on the opposite side of the apartment, and you can watch the sunset. It rained that day and the burning clouds after sunset were so beautiful! NaNa people are very nice, we can check out at 2 o'clock in the afternoon on our plane at night, and also printed out the information for us, which is very recommended!

Clean & well maintain hotel. It’s full of overseas tourist, so happened bung with the big group tourist when check in. Noisy sound and no places to sit down while awaiting my room. Luckily there is a Starbucks next door to escape. Gentle advise to avoid the check out timing during check in. 😁😄 Meantime thanks to Noveera at reception counter on her professional service.
Sunset Seaview Vacation Condos @ Imago Shopping Mall

I recently stayed for 2 days (located at level 7) and found it to be quite spacious, which was a definite plus. The location is also excellent, situated conveniently near Imago shopping mall with easy access to shops and restaurants. I could spend a whole day at the mall, followed by a massage which is just opposite it. The room also provided free Netflix which is a ++! However, the apartment needed a number of improvement. Many items in the apartment are pretty run down. The sofa, in particular, is very wonky, and after sitting on it, I had some sort of insect bite marks on my legs and hands. The ensuite bathroom sink doesn’t drain water properly, which was quite inconvenient. Additionally, the bed condition is worn out and not very comfortable, and the towels provided are old and no longer white. You could hear the airplane flying past quite loudly since it's located quite near the airport. While the space and location are fantastic, the condition of the apartment and its furnishings need significant improvement to ensure a comfortable stay.
Asaya Hotel Kota Kinabalu - Refurbished 2024

Our travel agent booked us this hotel for the night. The hotel looks relatively new and the room shows no signs of shabby. We were fortunate to stay in the ”privileged room”: very spacious with all kinds of modern equipment, including a Nespresso capsule coffee machine, safe room and mini bar. The bed was big and comfortable. The only thing that was dragging the hotel's location was to take 35 ringgit to the lakeside or the main city. The property is clearly located in an industrial area, and it is more suitable for visiting business executives than travelers.
JSK Mantanani Island Resort

Personally, I feel that it is quite cost-effective. I bought a package on Ctrip, which includes boat tickets, bus tickets, lunch, dinner, and breakfast. The only difference is that the time is a bit short. It would be better to stay for two nights. We only stayed for one night. Because the journey takes a long time, and there are many things to do in Mermaid Island. No lunch is provided after getting off the boat the next day, but you can buy lunch at the pier or bring some bread and biscuits, because it is still a two-hour drive to the Jesselton Pier in the city. I learned that there are some other activities at the pier, one is Floating Dream Island, which is similar to a sea amusement park where boys and girls rush forward, and the other is an air capsule hotel. My children are more interested in both, but there is no time, so I can only experience it next time. I recommend it to friends in need, see the picture.
