i would not rate it extraordinary but then goubg to Badami , the bucolic heartland of Kannadas, it's advisable to pare one's expectations and likewise we did the same. The stay in Non-AC room is nothing yo brag about and a mistake on our part while booking but then in middling February , it was still tolerable although avoidable. The state government owned hotel has a location advantage being slightly distant from muddle and yet a mere mile from famed Badami caves. The stay factor having been reconciled, the fare in the in-house restaurant is nothing to flaunt about and chef would do well to undergo a culinary crash course. Overall would recommended but be diligent while booking lest unknowingly you too might end up with a non-AC room and my two bit of advice - the entire cucuit of Badami, Paddakal & Aihole takes not more than six hours overall plus commuting time so one night of halt is sufficient.
