Romance in Ella

Spectacular view Amazing host and family they all go the extra mile to make this the perfect stay They arranged transport to AHANGAMA and have a tuk tuk at hand for sight seeing and return journeys from Ella town. Romance in Ella is perfect for a couple who enjoy seclusion with the most amazing view of the valley. Train tracks immediately below providing a direct route into town 15min walk If you have the opportunity I would make this first choice to stay in Ella The photos don’t do this accommodation justice. It is spotless and has everything you need with the host easy to contact by what’s app with any query’s or assistance requires Perfect in every way

Only accessible by foot or tuk tuk it's nearly the last house on the lane. If you ask sanjee to come and pick you up from the station he will be there. Confirm though as he is a busy man. This liitle gem looks nothing from the outside but when that door slides back prepare yourself for some view. We had 3 nights here and were in the clouds 1 day and clear vistas the next. It's 600 lkr to town each way by tuk tuk, breakfast was great and varied daily. Lovely family owned property. The owner has put heart and soul into this cute place on the side of the mountain, Yes you live with gecko's and bugs but remember your in the jungle, it's really no drama unless you like sterile. No cooking facilties as there are masses of good restaurants in town so no need to fly food in.

We stayed here for two nights end of June 2023. What a beautiful little boho property: I absolutely loved the raw materials used to create this little mountain side retreat. The views were incredible, I loved seeing the greenery of Ella below and the trains going past. The host was lovely and was happy to use his own tut tut to take us down to the town etc. He took us to little Adams Peak and also to a great spot to look at the nine arch bridge so I would recommend anyone else staying to use the host for their transport to these famous spots ! Breakfast was delicious and lots of if, kindly made by his sister. Towels provided but no soap/ shampoo (although I believe this is available at small fee). A tut tut to and from Ella town takes about 5 minutes and costs around 500 rupees. On the first night we arrived late and wanted some food and ordered from a local bar via whatsapp (host knows the names of these bars). Some of the outside of the property /hanging net is a little weathered and as per previous comments we also had the odd gheko in the room but keep in mind the location of the property and don’t let this put you off ! We loved it here and can’t thank you enough!

Sanjee is a warm and friendly host and has clearly thought about the small details in both his properties. The location is stunning and the 'outside in' of the property means you have a wonderful view of the mountains at all times. Breakfast was huge and delicious!
