We zijn bij toeval bij dit hotel beland, omdat we op zoek waren naar avondeten na een lange bergwandeling. We hebben er dus niet geslapen, maar we werden met warmte verwelkomd in het goed en schoon -maar nagenoeg leeg- uitziend restaurant. Het hotel heeft blijkbaar zijn aantrekkingskracht ooit verloren & heeft net sinds enkelen maanden een nieuwe eigenaar; die het aandurft en uit alle macht probeert het hotel nieuw leven in te blazen. Het is daardoor nog niet helemaal op orde als het gaat om techniek en voorraad, maar deze nieuwe eigenaar zet zich 200% in, en het zal je daardoor aan niets ontbreken. De kaart is nu niet heel ruim (wat alleen maar verstandig is als je nog startend bent en de aanloop nog niet zo groot is), maar het eten wat de eigenaar zelf ter plaatste maakte en serveerde, was echt super goed, netjes opgediend, smakelijk en ruim voldoen in porties. Echt met liefde bereid, zeer smakelijk en professioneel ogend. 2 van de eters in ons gezelschap zijn tieners, (17/19) en ook zij waren vol lof over het opgediende. Wat ons vooral opviel is de passie, nederigheid en servicegerichtheid van de nieuwe eigenaar, die vooral een lucky-break nodig heeft om weer ‘op de kaart te komen staan’. Wij kunnen in ieder geval melden dat dit qua eten en service/restaurant, zeker potentie heeft. Het zeker staat op ons lijstje om zeker nog een keer te gaan eten, als we onderweg weer een uitvalsbasis zoeken, of als we even geen zin hebben om zelf te koken.

Hospitality was absolutely superb, thank you so much Katja & Francesco, we went home feeling very refreshed and relaxed. Nothing was too much trouble. We stayed an extra three nights because we enjoyed it so much, just had to change rooms, which were both very clean, comfortable, a good size and everything finished to a high standard. We ate here for seven nights out of nine only because the restaurant was closed Christmas eve & Christmas day every meal was delicious, thank you Francesco, with exceptional service. Katja you are an Angel, we thank you so much and miss you.
