The public rooms were nice but the individual rooms really needed fans. The afternoons were so hot we camped out by a fan in the lounge to cool down after hours on safari. Instead of placing their tents on wood or cement base, these were on the ground which lead for an extremely uneven floor. We experience "bush showers" which were quite nice. Lots of flies in the heat. When you check in they give you fly swatters. The greeting was none existent, no towels to wash off the daily grime, no refreshing juice to revive you. The people were very nice and helpful and the food was delicious. On the last morning, I had an elephant 8 feet from my front window.

Family of 4 stayed here 3 nights while exploring and viewing wildlife in Tarangire. The camp met all our needs and we were very pleased in all respects. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the food was excellent (including great lunch bags so we did not have to waste time returning to camp midday), and the tents were comfortable. We really got to experience the outdoors, including having to arrange the staff to fill the hot water whenever anyone takes a shower, hearing the animals mingling around camp late at night, etc. I highly recommend the camp.

Our first stop on our Safari and a great first 2 nights - Charles and the team were all very friendly and helpful, food was great and the setting is exceptional with animals walking through the camp at night. Just be prepared to be woken up by elephants rummaging around the tent at night, an experience that is worth losing sleep over. Tarangiere as we found out is an elephant sanctuary, no where else did we see anywhere near as many elephants, not only that but they were comfortable being in and around the camp! Nyikani is a great location and we opted for the night safari provided by the hotel and saw leopards and lots of other wildlife.

This wonderful camp was a delightful place to stay during our safari. We were three generations - grandmother, daughter, and granddaughter - and we were treated like royalty by the employees. What nice people! The food was great and our granddaughter was serenaded and given a cake for her 16th birthday. The tent was perfect, clean and comfortable. Memorable experience. Thank you!

We loved our time at Nyikani Camp in Tarangire. The staff was SO incredibly warm and welcoming. The food was incredible. And you were nestled into the bush of Tarangire so you truly felt a part of the wildlife. You could even hear the sounds of the bush at night, we heard a lion bellowing throughout the night! We loved our stay here and we would definitely recommend it, 10/10 experience for sure!

We really enjoyed this slightly rustic camp in the middle of the park. Staff were very kind and accommodating and sweet with our kids. The bucket shower is an experience:)

Tarangire Park is a special place. If you are lucky enough to spend time there you have to treat yourself to the Niyikani Camp. The setting is spectacular. The food is wonderful. But what really sets it apart is the warmth and professionalism of the staff. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and knowledgeable and eager to provide the best service possible. Yes, the accommodations are semi-permanent tents with bucket showers. The tents are extremely clean and comfortable with great beds and large bathrooms. The showers were prepared faster than requested. There was plenty of warm water to clean yourself thoroughly. The food was fresh and well prepared. We enjoyed each meal. I can’t say enough good things about our stay.
