Enterkine Country House Resort

Went for the carvery on sunday. Beautiful hotel and was hosting a wedding that day- looked stunning! We had booked in advance as we had a large group, this was a £50 deposit over the phone. When we arrived our table was set up nicely, staff were friendly and inviting! Dinner was lovely! Meat was carved by staff and you helped yourself to everything else. Good options, no stuffing which one of our number was sad about 😂. Roast potatoes were very very pale! But everything else was lovely! Their sticky toffee pudding was topnotch! Was charged twice for drinks however we noticed this and it was rectified without a problem! Also had to mention that the deposit was paid for this to be taken off the bill. All in all very positive!

We chose Enterkine House to host our wedding and it did not disappoint! As soon as we walked through the doors, we knew it was the venue for us. There was nothing that wasn’t too much trouble. Emails were replied to quickly and they even opened the restaurant for us before our wedding when it is supposed to be closed. Sharon, and the staff were fantastic! Sharon kept our day running smoothly and stress free, I don’t know what I would have done without her the night before the wedding! The venue and food is of such high standard, our guests haven’t stopped talking about it. If anyone is considering booking this venue, you will not be disappointed!

Attended a wedding here. Beautiful aesthetically. What let's the place down is the attitude of the staff, including management. Drinks continually being removed when not finished and whilst approaching staff they are abrupt and rude. Inexperienced team who require guidance in good hospitality. It's not cheap but the service is.

Words can’t fully express how amazing this venue is, especially the staff. Sharon is an absolute godsend, supported by an incredible team who went above and beyond to make us feel so special. She’s the closest thing to Wonder Woman on your big day, thinking of every last little detail. If you’re considering Enterkine, I truly cannot recommend it enough. Mandy, the owner, has always made time to chat with us whenever we visited over the past couple of years - it’s these thoughtful touches that mean so much. It’s the venue of my dreams and will always hold a special place in our hearts.

We went for a wedding and stayed the night before , as a wedding venue it was fine however not a place we would choose to stay again . The lodge was clean however I would say mattress covers are an essential in any place , mattress wasn’t clean but tried not to look too much ! Very poor quality, ended up putting towels underneath as extremely uncomfortable. Breakfast wasn’t good , very limited and very “canteen” like . Tea from an urn…..🙄 Far better to go to a well known chain for half the cost

Two couples went for dinner and to sit in the outside area. Table booked for 3pm. At 3:45 went to look for staff for drinks and menus! Staff busy with a wedding in main area. Eventually got the menus, order food and food came quickly. Food was lovely! No complaints there!. A lot of the wedding guests descended on the outside area for drinks- which was fine. There was one ashtray for all the people. Wedding guests and us kept asking for ashtray but these didn't come. Spoke to owner eventually who said ' i hate ashtrays' and when we were nearly finished our meal she came out and said 'are you lot still here!' . Well, in my opinion, make the place non smoking outside and ensure no smokers will return. These smokers will certainly NOT return! The service was shocking and the attitude was worse. As guests who spent over £200 on our afternoon, our experience was poor and was disheartening! Shame, because we were regular visitors but on this occasion were not felt welcome. In fact, we felt we were a hindrance! We used to enjoy seeing this venue grow each time we visited but unfortunately we will see it grow no more!
