Where to start! This hotel has "Premier Plus" rooms and we booked a double for 2 nights, April 30th-May 2nd. I wouldn't bother with the extra expense for basically 2 bottles of water. The room was directly above a generator or AC unit working all night so the window couldn't be opened without hearing all the noise. These rooms should be in the best part of the hotel otherwise why bother having one. The shower flooded the floor because it hadn't been cleaned properly, we had to unblock the shower drain despite having told reception. We removed a complete blockage made up from masses of black hair-disgusting. To be fair reception did subsequently use some proprietary drain unblocker the next day and disposed of the hair from the bin. While on the subject of the shower why have a hand wash in the shower along with a body wash but no shampoo, there was already a hand wash at the basin? We asked for shampoo but none was forthcoming, just another body wash. Breakfast- the first day the chef hadn't turned up so no cooked breakfast available. I had already pre-paid so was told that Premier Inn would refund £2 and I could have the "continental breakfast", I would be ashamed to present what was basically a slice of toast and a cup of coffee, the fruit and yoghurts hadn't been topped up. To add insult to injury the £2 refund has been added to my card as a debit-unbelievable! Day 2 breakfast was also an insult to catering, pre-cooked hot items like dry scrambled eggs, solid fried eggs that were not recognisable as such, congealed baked beans etc, I needn't go on, I think you've got the picture. I wonder if any Premier Inn executives have ever eaten breakfast at this hotel, if they have and still market this product they should hang their heads in shame. Overall a disappointing and depressing experience, I've used Premier Inn on numerous occasions but this really was a an eye opener that I will not want to repeat, and can I please have my £2 refund!!
