This is a fabulous hotel that is attached to the Convention Center. I spent four months at this hotel on business and that allowed me time to interact with the staff - on occasion needing to juggle reservation dates when an assignment took me to another city for a few days. I had the opportunity to experience the team's professional manner on several occasions. The managers, Fred Smith and Jamie Allen, worked to accommodate every change I needed in reservation dates (which relieved a great deal of my stress). It is obvious that this entire team understands customer service and they deliver. Nicholas Young, Aaron Doran, and Diamond Hicks at the front desk, as well as the bellmen- June, Willie and Clinton were great. The housekeeping team was very attentive. The restaurant team was also very accommodating and the food was great. I will write a separate review for Augustino's.

Still one of the better options in Augusta, the Marriott Convention Center is showing its age and needs some TLC. Simply slapping paint on the walls is not enough. Elevators have been inop for months at a time impacting the easily move through the facility. Rooms are large and technology in rooms are adequate. It always surprises me how the hotel is ok with placing a small television in the room when the room is large. Only concern I had duri gthis stay was the AC was not working well and even with asking for support twice nothing was done. Augusta gets warm and humid, being able to sleep comfortablely is important and for two nights I tossed and turned.

This is Marriott at its finest. The experience from the staff to the amenities is memorable. The indoor pool is 24 hours and heated.. and the jacuzzi - life. Stay even if you’re a local- treat yourself
