My husband and I needed to find a hotel close to the Tabernacle concert venue in downtown Atlanta. We were between the Aloft and the AC and we chose Aloft because it offers onsite self-parking that is secure. The AC has a bit more of a luxury feel and is across the street from the venue, so that’s what I normally would’ve chosen but I am so glad we went with Aloft! We’ve stayed in a few Aloft hotels and they have a young, hip vibe and this was no different. The common areas are spacious and clean and there is a friendly bar on the lobby level. Our room was spotless, the hallways were quiet, the shower head and pressure were good. It’s takes a while for the hot water to arrive in the shower but once it does it doesn’t run out and I liked that you didn’t need to step into a tub. The absolute best reason to stay here is that the staff makes you feel as if you are the most important guest they have. I’d read reviews before I booked and so many mentioned the friendliness and warmth of the staff and now I get it. There was a small concern with our room location (I am a light sleeper and I was concerned that the room may be loud due to an adjoining g room door inside) and when I asked James if there was a different room available, even if a downgrade to a smaller bed or room, he instead moved is to an upgraded floor without hesitation. We saw James several times during our stay as he interacted with other staff and guests and he was equally warm with all of them. One elevator was broken and the staff apologized for this several times but it really didn’t impact us at all. The room was clean and quiet and the bed and linens were incredibly comfortable. The room-darkening shades were a nice touch. Lastly, the parking was great and you can easily walk to the Olympic park venues and to the Mercedes-Benz stadium. The Tabernacle is just a couple blocks away and Aloft ended up being a perfect respite. Highly recommend!
