Monastero San Giuseppe

Todo excelente! Muy linda la habitación, con gran vista. El personal muy amable, nos explicó de una manera muy práctica cómo recorrer el pueblo (que tiene muchas subidas). La ubicación es inmejorable; cerca del centro y de los principales puntos.

I stayed cared for directly by the Sisters at the Benedictine Monastery of San Giuseppe. Excellent central location on request parking with a very small cost. A huge thank you to Mariangela for her incredible availability. Very clean rooms, bring a hairdryer.

Pessima accoglienza, camera n.30 datami piccolissima, con porta tagliafuoco irregolare, rientro max serale 21,30....no pos x pagamento, solo cash e senza ricevuta alcuna. Mia denuncia alla Guardia di Finanza Assisi e segnalazione x sopralluogo porte irregolari al Comune di Assisi. No tassa soggiorno (?) VERO INCUBO lasciata struttura anzi tempo prenotato. Cene effettuate.....semplici, talvolta minestre con molto sale o pepe! Cibi senza rilevanza alcuna....da mensa dei poveri!

Positive aspects: the structure is centrally located but is immersed in the tranquility and silence of Assisi. From the windows and the panoramic terrace you can admire a splendid and reassuring landscape that also includes the Basilica of San Francesco. The cleanliness is impeccable throughout the structure and the ladies who take care of it are very kind and friendly. Another positive aspect is the welcome from the reception operators, all very kind and available to meet the guests' requests even when these go beyond what was agreed at the time of booking. The cuisine is genuine and simple but at the same time excellent: the chef Bartolomeo and the guys who take care of the service are attentive to the needs of all the guests, making them feel at home. This made us decide to switch from half board to full board in the last days of our stay (we were also allowed to have lunch there on the day of departure, after check-out). We also really appreciated the presence of a chapel accessible at all hours that allows, for those who wish, to retreat in prayer even when staying in the structure. So-so aspects: there are only two that we would like to point out, not as criticisms but as suggestions to further improve the welcome given to guests, which is already excellent in itself. The bathrooms in the rooms would need some renovation: there are no shelves, although this is unfortunately a very common problem in all accommodation facilities, and the shower is very small. The room assigned to us, a double room on the ground floor, does not have electrical outlets near the bedside tables. The bed with a double mattress is to be appreciated (a rarity in any accommodation facility). Negative aspects: none. For us, Assisi is a place close to our hearts and for this reason we recommend everyone to go there at least once in their life: it is not an experience to be told but to be lived firsthand. We have been there many times, staying in hotels and B&Bs, while this is the first time in a religious structure like Monastero San Giuseppe. Without taking anything away from the former, certainly often equipped with greater comforts (but obviously at much higher prices!) we are certain that the choice of staying in a structure like this is preferable for those who want to remain immersed in the atmosphere of prayer, simplicity and peace that can be felt throughout Assisi.

Sono rimasto stupito della calorosa accoglienza e gentilezza. Grazie : dopo un viaggio faticoso essere ricevuti così rinfranca il cuore e ci fa dimenticare i disagi del viaggio. Da questa strutti di gode una magnifica vista… Da raccomandare!
