Decent onsen hotel in Aso area. Family run business hotel with decent all you can eat food for dinner. Love the view the hotel room facing. Overall it was a relax stay.

This hotel is situated on a spacious property, secluded from the town center and shops. While it features public baths and an on-site restaurant, The dinner and breakfast offered a delightful blend of Western and Japanese dishes, typical of most Japanese hotels. Our twin room, though a bit compact, provided a comfortable overnight stay. All amenities provided were satisfactory for a one-night stay, leaving no room for complaints. As most establishments in the vicinity close after 5 PM (except for convenience stores), there isn't much to do at the hotel besides enjoying the onsen. Therefore, be prepared for an early night in.

The hotel is new. But there were limited choices for buffet breakfast and dinner.

The hotel room is spacious and looks towards Mount Aso. The large bathing hot spring is very large, very comfortable, and the hot spring water temperature is very good. Shower and toiletries are very complete. Available in stores.

Although the hotel is not in the downtown area, it is surrounded by mountains (you can see Aso Volcano outside the window), and the snow-capped scenery in winter is breathtaking. We stayed in the attic-style wooden house with 2 adults and 2 children. It was very cold in the house at first when the heating was not working, but it became very comfortable after the heating was working properly. The hotel's hot spring environment is clean and spacious, and the 1 night 2 meals itinerary made us feel very comfortable on the first day of our trip to Japan. In particular, the hotel service + restaurant food...are all unforgettable memories of this trip. If your budget allows, I highly recommend the 1 night 2 meals itinerary for Aso.

On the way to Aso Mountain by self-driving yesterday, there was a traffic accident in the barren mountains and wild mountains. Everyone was fine, but the car could no longer move. The car rental company arranged for a tow truck. I originally wanted to cancel the booked hotel, but the hotel actually said to pick us up🥹. As a result, the hotel took 1.5 hours to come and another 1.5 hours to go back. Originally one meal and two meals, they actually left dinner for us, very touched. In the morning of the second day, the hotel manager actually said that he could rent another car for us, and even drove us to pick up the car so that we could continue our journey. Their service is really good.
