The hot spring hotel in Kurogawa was not booked, and Trip.com chose a holiday house in the nearby Tibetan hot spring. Arrive before 6 o'clock, otherwise the staff will get off work. The house is very old, the name is ”Mei”, and the other house is a very new one and should be much more comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped; The indoor hot spring is very hot, you have to try the temperature before entering the water. The towels are small and you have to bring your own bath towels.

This is a great place to stay if you want to be in a peaceful and quiet location. It is in the village with not much disturbances. The owner is very helpful and try to answer your questions about bus and train services in the area. You can find some local restaurants nearby using your Google map. The restaurants are close around 3 to 4 pm most days. The closing hours for the restaurants are not accurate. This is a small town; if they don’t have costumers after a certain hours in the evening, they will be closed. Be mindful about that and come prepared with snacks and food!

The location is relatively remote, but it can be regarded as a feature. The hotel has a public bath, but we didn't go because there is a private bath in the room and the water temperature is very comfortable. Compared with other high-priced brand hotels, the price is really first-class, but the location is really remote.

It really makes people feel like returning to their hometown. Kurokawa is very quiet at night, and you can really enjoy the tranquility and leisure of the deep mountain hot springs. The cabin is fully equipped and can be used for simple cooking. I cooked Japanese sukiyaki pot with the children in the cabin, which was very satisfying! The outdoor hot spring in the B&B is another amazing place. Because it was summer, we didn’t make a reservation for the hot spring. The owner of the B&B enthusiastically invited us to enjoy it (unexpectedly). Unexpectedly, it turned out to be an independent open-air hot spring. I highly recommend making a reservation. It’s too Feel comfortable! The next day, the children were very reluctant to say goodbye to the owner of the B&B and the owner's dog. Along the way, they still missed the comfortable bed (actually just a tatami sleeping mat) in the B&B. I will definitely visit again next time I have the opportunity!
