We were greeted by the owners on arrival and shown our room. Beautifully clean and well appointed with a view over the village square. I left my husband to enjoy happy hour and took our beagle for a walk. On our return, he was one of the locals. Spent three nights here and ate in the restaurant every night. Fabulous food, staff, ambience and locals. Such a lovely friendly place. Locals stopped to chat and waved at us as we were out and about walking. Every village needs a pub with landlords and locals like this. Definitely, heart and soul.

We were pleasantly surprised that despite a lot going on in the pub below, we couldn't hear a thing in the bedroom. Lovely old building but modernised inside to a high level of comfort.
They do need more shelves in the bathroom though - not happy to have to put my toiletries on the floor.

Great food, friendly staff. Lacked a bit of atmosphere as we were the only ones eating in there on a February Happy term Thursday evening it was very wet and windy so maybe that put people off as when I booked the day before the pub sounded really busy but the food was great.

Great stay
Really nice room, recently refurbished. Everything was nice, particularly appreciated the controllable radiator having come from a place that was cold. Could've done with an extra pillow, only 1 provided each.
The pub was really top class in a pretty village centre and was a CAMRA winner with great range of ales and warm comforting food and log burners.

Lovely stay
Charming lady running the bar. I forgot to mention beforehand that I was gluten free and they weren’t really set up for that. My fault but tried to do what they could which I really appreciated

Everything You Could Want
We had a fantastic stay in this hotel, situated in a beautiful village with wonderful views close to lots is surrounding points of interest. The room was very clean and modern and the complimentary breakfast was a great touch. We’d happily stay again in the future.
