I don’t know how much higher than the so-called hot spring hotels in China. There are real hot springs in the room, all the utensils are high mountains, dry and wet partitions, and the living room is large and comfortable enough to meet office needs. There is also leftovers for breakfast!

This place is horrible. It was once a grand hotel. It is now 100 years old and it has been neglected and is in shameful condition. The rugs are stained, the sink porcelain is chipped, the furniture is badly soiled and the decor is quite shabby. We had been told that we had paid for a stay with breakfast included. When we checked in we were told that the hotel is under new management and that breakfast was no longer included in the room price and costs $18 per day/per person. They comped us one free breakfast (out of our 3 night stay) and we tried the breakfast the next day. Very limited choices of foods and seriously awful tasting. We were also informed that our rooms would not be cleaned daily but rather every 3 days. Hardly anyone is ever available at the front desk to provide assistance or answer questions. These are disturbing changes and make this over-priced and tired hotel a very poor choice. There are better choices in Ashland. Don't stay at Ashland Springs Hotel.

While the rooms are decorated very nicely and the beds very comfortable, the reception desk has a lot to be desired. No information on the amenities or the restaurant. Cleaning service should be automatic daily instead of every third day. The $18.00 breakfast is embarrassing at best. The restaurant is very good but service is lacking. Obviously management is lacking at this hotel.

Hello All, I am writing as these reviews become hidden or deleted by the actual vendor. My stay at Ashland Hills was very upsetting and concerning. My room had NO phone! Plus my shower was backing up pretty bad! Here’s the reasons why I would seriously reconsider giving this property business: When I called, it was considered after hours, which was 10 PM!!! I called a the “after hours” number and it rang, then someone picked up the line, hung up on me. I thought was a mistake…..NO. No one picked up when I called again. The backed up shower, just think!!! It’s possibly 50 or more peoples bodily fluid coming up from the drain. It’s flowing into my tub. I texted and they did not get back to me to fix it until 8 AM! I left for my daughter’s graduation with NO shower! Lastly, my room had NO phone as I mentioned…..this is very dangerous . Bottom line when I asked to speak to a manager, the gal at the desk gave me this fake smile said oh sure yeah we have your email. No, Manager has reached out at all. This is actually a common problem with the Springs hotels. All three of them in Ashland ! Just so you know, I have stayed with these properties over two dozen times and this is how I’ve been treated. Can you imagine how much money I spent?! They did not care. I had problems with the other two properties and again the managers never call back..! One of the other properties I have problem with black mold on my shower and they didn’t even move me until the next afternoon! They did have our rooms which made it all the more very upsetting. Consumers we have a lot of power and we shouldn’t put up with this or give business to businesses like this.

I've stayed here many times on my way to visit family over the years. Customer service is always stellar. The front-desk staff is always kind and accommodating. The rooms are charming and clean. The location can't be beat. The restaurant is also really great. Make sure to book in advance on holidays!! Do NOT let them suggest their "sister location" Lithia Springs "Resort". I'm here now and it is so so gross (dingy and dirty) and the front-desk staff (solo guy) was mind-blowingly rude - unlike anything I have ever experienced. I can't wait to check out of here and check in to Ashland Springs for the remainder of my trip.

Based on reviews, was looking forward to staying in this historic hotel in a very charming city. Hotel lobby is just what I expected. For an old hotel, room was decently sized. Closet was poorly designed to hang clothes and would be an easy fix. Bathroom needs work. Has a high step over tub that is dangerous and could use ADA toilets. Put in showers! Tubs are ridiculous in 2025. After checking in, I got several texts requesting feedback and to report problems. First morning I texted that the sheets were frayed and had holes. Pretty disgusting. Got an auto response but 5 hours later, no followup. I then sent another text asking why request feedback when you don't respond. Housekeeper then shows up immediately and was shocked that someone would've put on those sheets. And breakfast...... A cut below Hyatt Place in food quality and that's a low bar. One guy stands around collecting vouchers while no one cleans tables nor refills food quickly. Lots of room for improving what could be a gem.

The hotel is very charming - vintage beauty. We stayed in the deluxe corner view king which was very pretty; the bed was comfortable. My concern was the lack of information on the type of bath in each room. There are no pictures on the website showing the type of bath/shower and no description. In our room there was a deep soaking tub which was hard to climb in or out of. Getting out was especially perilous because the grab bar was directly by the side of the toilet so it was no help in getting out. Before making reservations, talk to the front desk to find out what the bath configuration is if you have any mobility safety concerns.

First of all, in the pro column: Gorgeous lobby; Very short walk to the Shakespeare Festival; Free morning coffee; Classy bar. However, in the con column: Claustrophobically small room - we booked a standard king; Poor service. We accidentally broke a glass in the bathroom and reported it to the front desk. When we returned at the end of the day, it had not been cleaned up, obviously a potential hazard.
