Tolles Hotel nahe Ascona Altstadt
Schon vor der Anreise alle wichtigen Infos per whatsapp, Schlüsselbox bei später Anreise top, ideal gelegen (Buslinie 1, Station Barragie gleich daneben; in 5-8‘ in der Altstadt von Ascona und am See. perfekte Verbindung bach Locarno. gerne wieder!

Das Jazz Hotel zeichnet sich durch ein billigst zurechtgemachtes Hotel in zentraler Lage in Ascona aus. Die Zimmer sind billig eingerichtet und hellhörig. Wir haben über eine renomierte Booking Plattform gebucht. Für eine ganze Aufenthaltswoche haben wir das ungünstigste und lauteste Zimmer des Hauses direkt neben der Rezeption mit lauter Musik und gegenüber dem Frühstücksraum und einer frei zugänglichen Kaffeemaschine erhalten. Also kein Ausschlafen möglich und auch keine Privatsphäre. Wir haben deshalb nach einem ruhigeren Zimmer gefragt. Gegen einen Aufpreis von 250 CHF (!) konnten wir das gleiche billig eingerichtete kleine Zimmer in einer anderen Etage beziehen. Wofür uns dieser Aufpreis berechnet wurde, ist mir unklar, angeblich war es ein Upgrade. Das Bad ist alt und sehr klein, so dass man sich öfters mal irgendwo anschlägt. Die Dusche war sehr klein und verkalkt. Der Frühstücksraum hat das Ambiente einer Bahnhofswartehalle. Das Frühstück ist überschaubar und immer gleich und wird lieblos mit vielen Fertigprodukten angerichtet. Es gab nicht jeden Tag frisches Brot, Brötchen oder Gipfel, ebenso wird alte Wurst, Käse und Bircher Müesli jeden Tag aufs Neue wieder angeboten. Gespräche im Frühstücksraum sind aufgrund der lauten Kühltheke kaum möglich. Das war mit Abstand die schlimmste Absteige, in der ich je meine Zeit verbringen musste und der Preis war wirklich nicht günstig. Nie wieder.
