We stayed here for a few nights before we went on safari. A very comfortable hotel in a great location. We took half board and the meals were all very tasty and varied. The staff were friendly and helpful, and even arranged for a cultural day tour at short notice. Our guides, Simon and Vasco took us to a Masai boma followed by a walk through a farm and a tasty lunch in a lovely garden, cooked over charcoal. We couldn't recommend them more highly.

Spent our first two nights here and it was a perfect location to recover from air travel and kick start our African safari adventure. Room was spacious and well appointed. Hotel staff was always there to assist before you asked. Dining room was quiet and food was great. Thought drinks in the lounge were smaller than usual, but tasty. Porters cared for luggage as there is no elevator. Would defiantly stay here again

This was a lovely oasis of calm in the busy city of Arusha. The rooms were large, with air con, and the triple room had a balcony. Beds were very comfortable. Showers were hot, with great pressure. We enjoyed sitting by the pool, playing cards and having drinks in the pretty garden/seating area. All staff were friendly. Benjamin and the front desk staff were especially helpful in confirming flight times, etc., even after we had checked out.

The African Tulip is a lovely boutique hotel that offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere and beautiful decor with an authentic local touch. The rooms are spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with comfortable beds and serene views. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with anything you need. The restaurant serves delicious meals, and the breakfast is especially fresh and satisfying. A peaceful and charming stay — highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, character, and great service.

Had an absolute fantastic stay at this hotel Pre Safari. Received fantastic customer service from every member of staff. Loved grilled pork chops for dinner, spot on! Room was spacious, very clean and great value. Highly recommended.

This is our "to-go-hotel" whenever we visit family in Arusha! It is stunning and operates with customers in mind. The recognition and warm welcome you get by the familiar faces at Reception the minute you enter and even knowing your room preferences makes you feel at home. From a professional friendly welcome, the staff are superb and go out of their way to make you feel very special. Love this place!

Very nice hotel that provided appreciated comfort after a week exploring the African plains. Rooms were comfortable, service was good as was the food. Makes a good jumping off point for exploring the interior.
