The staff were very friendly and helped to organize the transport to Kilimanjaro airport. The driver was extremely kind and friendly. The rooms were also quite clean. I had an issue with some noise from the AC units in my room, also the wifi does not really work in the room, making it very difficult to contact people. The food in the restaurant is decent, though took longer than expected. The place is well maintained, though seemed to be quite empty.

The entire resort style is like a kindergarten full of natural fun. The girl at the front desk is very warm and thoughtful. It felt good to stay temporarily for one night.

Our stay at Fun Retreat Resort was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. It seems this place is designed only for a specific crowd (mainly Indians), and the quality in every aspect reflects poor standards and zero hospitality. Must admit the bed is comfortable and the pillows are fluffy. From the moment we checked in, it was one issue after another. We were given a room with a non-functioning toilet. When we informed the receptionist, she was rude and completely unhelpful. Eventually, we were moved to another room – only to find the exact same problem. No one seemed to care or even apologize for the inconvenience. To make matters worse, the food was absolutely terrible. It lacked variety, freshness, and flavor – we couldn’t even bring ourselves to eat breakfast before checking out early. The staff are unprofessional and poorly trained. The entire resort lacks the basic standards any guest would expect. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this place – I wouldn’t wish this kind of experience on anyone. Save your time, money, and peace of mind. There are far better places in the area.

Good food, lovely staff and lots of activities both indoor and outdoor for children. There's a sports bar with darts, a pool table and table tennis. We tried the spa treatments and we thoroughly enjoyed, it was very good. There is no gym but there's ample outdoor space to work out. Also for breakfast brewed coffee is billed separately.
