We spent one night in a wonderful traditional (yet modernised with good mattresses and a bathroom) Massai hut. We got the chance to participate in a Massai dance and BBQ which was absolutely amazing. The next day we got up bright and early and went on a walking safari with a Massai guide where we saw zebras, giraffes, wild beasts and gazelles. Our guide, the amazing Lengai also taught us about the different ways that the Massai people use nature as natural medicine and answered all our questions. We then came back to do some beading with a Massai grandma. There is also a beautiful pool but it was too cold to swim in sadly. The stay was amazing and we are so grateful to the hotel staff to have so gracefully shared their culture with us.

Seuls dans ce village-hôtel le soir où nous avons dormi, la sensation d'être dans un autre monde, reçu par une famille de Maasai très accueillante. Chants d'accueil ( le fameux "hakuna Matata ), danse, lancer de javelots, histoire au coin du feu... Cases simples mais confortables, vue incroyable avec le mont Kilimandjaro au loin. Inoubliable.

Our family of 5 had an amazing stay at the lodge in June. The people and place are beautiful and generous. We felt very welcome and cared for. Lengai, our guide, was particularly kind with the kids and they loved his stories and lessons. We had an absolutely incredible nature walk in the morning and saw giraffes, zebras, gazelles, and water buffalo. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the bar as well. The kids had a wonderful time at the pool, even though it was a bit cool in June. We did see a Puff Adler very close to us at one point, but a Maasai warrior immediately stepped in and dispatched the snake. The kids found the entire experience thrilling and the stay was a highlight of their trip to Tanzania. Don’t miss this wonderful place and opportunity to learn from the Maasai.

We wanted to experience other cultures and meet people who lived and worked their land. Our visit to the Osiligilai Lodge was a wonderful and very interesting experience. The traditional Maasi huts are modernized with indoor plumbing, showers and use solar. The staff was welcoming, very open to sharing of their lives and cultures. Give this place a visit, you won’t be disappointed!

We are 2 couples in our 40s who stayed here for 2 nights as part of a 10 day safari. We loved everything about this place! From the warm Massai greeting of traditional song and dance (complete with "blood" welcome drink), to the walking tours and spear throwing activities with Massai guides (our guide Joseph was amazing), to the very comfortable beds and delicious food... this place is a must. Views of Mount Kilimanjaro on one side and Mount Meru on the other are just breathtaking. Our last night, with the traditional Massai dance as the sun sets behind Mount Meru is not one I will soon forget.

Amazing! Provides authentic insights into the Maasai culture with engaging guides (shout out to Gabriel) and lovely, friendly staff. Amazing views on Mt Kilimanjaro and the plains. From the heartwarming traditional greeting, to the nature walk where we got super close to zebras and the roasted goat straight from the open fire place - it provided memories that will not fade!

We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the spectacular views of Mt Kilimanjaro, tasty food (including welcome grilled goss BBq) and friendly service. A warm Maasai welcome set the tone for the rest of the stay where we learnt so much about the Maasai culture from Gabriel. The nature walk was amazing seeing zebras, gazelles and wildebeests in the wild. Really enjoyed all the activities and chilling by the pool with the best view in Africa.
