Venus Resort

Venus Resort impresses with its extensive and delicious breakfast options and friendly, attentive staff. Guests appreciate the consistently clean environment and the convenient beachfront location.

It’s all about the fantastic beach location at Venus and the incredibly hard working and friendly staff. We had a superb week there, lazing every day on our reserved sunbeds and far too often ordering a beer or 2 with Calemari, which typically arrived seconds after ordering it. I think it was Mario and Kostas who were so friendly and efficient at service, supported by a great team of girls at the beach bar. The star of the show for us was Fortina, who was available at the Venus kiosk and was able to book/help/advise on anything we cared to discuss with her, no strings attached. A wonderful person. The room was superb. Best shower I’ve experienced in Greece. Bed was huge. Cleaner changed linen and towels every day and so room was always clean and tidy. She was a lovely lady too. Breakfast at the beach bar every morning, next to the waves rolling in, set the relaxing tone every day. We really enjoyed the fresh fruit salad served with the European breakfast, normally served within 5 minutes of ordering. On the downside we found the Tavernas of Tsilivi a little too commercial for our liking, serving pasta and pizza etc. We struggled to find that authentic family run joint that we have been used to on other Greek islands. But I guess Tsilivi is a biggish resort these days so we shouldn’t have been surprised. But all in all we highly recommend the Venus, with its beautiful well kept gardens and trees and unique beach location. Cannot praise the staff highly enough.
