Mr & MRS Smith Kapsaliana Village Hotel

A very charming small hotel. The hotel was an old olive oil producing village that fell into ruin. Each of the rooms has been renovated from small workers cottages to a charming standard. It is such a lovely, quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle. The pool is idyllic, the only criticism would be that I think it should be adults only. The ambience was somewhat spoilt when there was a couple with a baby who was crying by the pool and had the parents speak baby talk which ruined the quiet setting, the hotel is much better suited as an adults only due to its quiet nature. Food was excellent, breakfast choice is vast and evening meals were always excellent albeit on the pricier side, but we ate there every night. The hotel is a bit isolated away from the main tourist areas but that suited us down to the ground to be somewhere quiet. We would return.

Beautiful Beautiful concept. A very old olive oil producing village recovered and turned inta a hotel. The ancient houses turned into hotel rooms. Breakfast varied and excellent. Would love to return

Peaceful perfection Fantastic hospitality, wine tasting was a highlight of our trip. The hotel is beautiful and very sympathetically renovated. Very peaceful and relaxing.

ABOVE AND BEYOND ONLY spent one night here but it was very special. An abandoned Cretan village now turned into a tasteful, sophisticated hotel with opportunities for wine tastings and spa treatments if desired. EXCELLENT restaurant with great wine list. Breakfast offers a variety of choices. Staff are obliging and friendly. I have seen other posts which say the prices are high for Crete but I don'g think you can compare this level of accommodation, food and service with other hotels in Crete.
