This was our first night in Peru for our 21 day adventure across this wonderful country Cirqa is a converted old nunnery in the centre of the old town We really loved this place for its spacious unique architecture, our room was amazing The staff were all charming and attentive The food was the finest we had our whole trip Overall this was our favourite hotel from our whole trip Highly recommended

Ya he visitado Cirqa antes y no es la primera vez que tengo inconvenientes con la reserva. En esa ocasión, sentí que me estaban haciendo un favor por dejarme entrar; la energía era incómoda, como si los comensales externos al hotel no fueran realmente bienvenidos. Esta vez intenté reservar para cenar con un grupo de amigas, una de ellas con claustrofobia. Pedí no ser ubicadas en la catacumba por razones médicas y la respuesta fue: “si está ocupado, será ahí”. No hubo empatía ni intención de ofrecer una alternativa, ni siquiera por un servicio corto de 1h30. También pregunté por el desayuno y, aunque tienen carta impresa, no aceptan pedidos a la carta. Solo se ofrece un desayuno completo de S/120 por persona, sin opción a elegir platos sueltos. Cirqa se vende como exclusivo, pero la experiencia es rígida, fría y poco acogedora. Si el restaurante está pensado solo para huéspedes, sería más honesto aclararlo y manejarlo como espacio de uso exclusivo. Y sí, el lugar es precioso, muy “instagrameable”, pero la comida no es nada del otro mundo. En Arequipa hay otras opciones igual de elegantes, con mejor trato y comida más memorable.

Fuimos con un grupo de amigas a Cirqa para una reunión especial y tuvimos una pésima experiencia. Estábamos conversando tranquilamente cuando un chico llamado Roberto vino a decirnos de muy mala manera que unos huéspedes se habían quejado y prácticamente nos mandó a callar, sin ningún respeto ni educación. Luego volvió y en vez de disculparse, mantuvo la misma actitud grosera. Además, pedimos agua que nunca llegó y los fideos que trajeron estaban tan pasados de cocción que no se podían comer. No me parece aceptable que en un restaurante caro traten así a sus clientes. No quiero que otras personas pasen un mal momento como nosotras. Decepcionante.

We stayed two nights in a Bóveda Room in May 2025. The hotel is in a beautifully repurposed old monastery and is ideally located—very central, with everything within walking distance. The decor is full of character and flair, though at times it felt a bit too modern for the historic setting, in my opinion. At night, the property is stunning, with real candles and firepits adding a magical touch. As all the rooms face interior courtyards, natural light is limited, ranging from modest to minimal. The windows also look out onto shared spaces, so for privacy, you’ll likely need to keep the curtains or shades drawn. This wasn’t an issue for us, but it’s something to be aware of. Service was excellent—attentive but never intrusive. My only small suggestion would be to shift turndown service to the dinner hour rather than the 4–6 p.m. window. The on-site restaurant was fantastic—probably the best dinner we had in town. We also stayed at their sister property in the Colca Valley (Puqio), and the staff made the transfer between the two hotels seamless.

Wunderschöne Architektur, was selbst schon ein Erlebnis ist. Das Personal ist äusserst zuvorkommend und freundlich. So haben wir uns unglaublich wohl gefühlt. Im kleinen Innenhof hat es sogar einen kleinen warmen Pool, der die perfekte Temperatur für am späteren Nachmittag hat. Das Hotel ist sehr Zentral gelegen, was man aber vom Lärm der Strassen nicht mitbekommt. Das Essen war auch jederzeit eine Köstlichkeit.

Espectacular, es un hotel maravilloso! Estuvimos en la habitación 4, una bóveda, la decoración es preciosa, realmente un espectáculo! Muy, muy recomendable. Tiene un Restaurant muy bueno, excelente comida y la atención también. Son pocas habitaciones por lo que la atención es muy personalizada. Tiene una terraza muy linda con una piscina con agua caliente, me encantó!

Elegante hotel, desde la entrada se aprecia la historia del antiguo monasterio en el que está, sobre todo está cerca de la Plaza de Armas, las habitaciones amplias, dormí muy bien la cama estaba comodísima,el servicio es excepcional, la amabilidad de cada personal, siempre pendientes de sus clientes, nos recibieron con una bienvenida inolvidable que me lo llevaré siempre en el corazón. Yo y mi hermana muy contentas con nuestra experiencia, no hay duda que volveríamos.
