Angeles Hotels with Gym

Believe me it was bliss for me that travel became very limited during this pandemic. People are, like, away. Away. So I was fished out of my comfort zone by my husband who wanted to leave our current city -- a city that worships face shields, as if face masks weren't enough to choke us in this heat. We initially booked our flights to Bohol, hotels included. But thanks to the national government's ever-expanding classification of quarantines, we had to cancel that trip. We wanted to still celebrate a week-long birthday out of town so we planned on driving to cities with little or no quarantine restrictions. First stop: Angeles City in Pampanga. Pampanga is a province not in included in the NCR bubble in May 2021. So we didn't need to get tested or quarantined when we got there. We didn't realize looking for a pet-friendly hotel would be so difficult. We found a couple, but landed in Capitol Hill Hotel and Suites. The hotel isn't really inside Clarkfield. One enters the zone from NLEX and exits one of the side gates. You'll pass through what seems to be the former red light district of the old US Military (?) zone, and you'll find Capitol Hill build just outside the residential areas alongside some of the old and new hotels. This one looks new. Squeaky clean. They have ample parking spaces in front and beside the hotel building. With a crate, a couple of bags, and 4 small dogs, were pleased to be led to a room in the second floor. We still had to take several elevator trips to and from the car. I lost count on how many times the doorman held the door for us. The two ladies at the Reception were all smiles all the time. We were handed only one key card. But in all hotels that I've stayed in, I've always made it a rule to get two key cards, in case I leave the other one in the room. The room's about 50 square meters, with a king size bed, TV, and toiletries, a huge window that overlooks where we parked the car, and a see-through bathroom with a tub. Water pressure in the sink and shower were strong. And again, squeaky clean. The toilet flushes well. The entire building has wi-fi. We were provided with enough towels. The closet had two robes, two pairs of slippers, and a safety deposit box. Venture to the rooftop and you'll find the infinity pool, bar, and restaurant. The food is pricey if you're on a budget, but they serve them fast and with utmost concern about your taste. You don't have to take the towels from your room if you want to use the pool; they provide towels for that. I recommend you have dinner at the rooftop by yourself or with a date. The evening view of Clarkfield and the Clark Airport is spectacular. One floor below the rooftop is a small gym with a treadmill, peloton, and a few weights. The next morning, I had to stay in the room to prepare our stuff for our next lap in our tour. The phone rang asking us if we wanted our breakfast in the room or the restaurant at the rooftop. This was my 4th stay for 10 days this time at this wonderful hotel. Close to SM mall walking distance as is the nightlife and many restaurants. The rooms are well appointed with comfortable facilities in the room - bathroom bed and sitting area. Rooms are cleaned every day when required by the professional team in housekeeping. Highlights as always for me was the Aqua Club with entertainment provided every day and swimming eating drinking and dancing fun for all. I found it most relaxing and refreshing for my mid year break. Security provide an excellent service and willingly assist with any information you require. Lastly Ella and her front office team (including Toni) are very friendly and helpful for front office assistance. Thanks everyone I will be back at Christmas so be prepared 😜

Throughout the process of reservation I was updated reqularly and my special request were seen to ( I am physically challenged ). Upon arrival I was greeted warmly by all including the person entrusted with my luggage. Check-In was smooth and quick and I took advantage of the cash discount. My room 501 was spotless and very functional with a fully stocked and switched on cool fridge. Throughout my stay my room was cleaned reqularly and never once did I have to ask for anything they may have forgotten like towels etc. I enjoyed the balcony for reading purposes. IF however you need complete silence and solitude then I think definitely room 501 and possibly all the rooms facing the pool area should be fitted with double-glazed windows to drown out the excessive noise & shouting from the Korean Restaurant / Club directly behind the pool. This venue seems to fill after 22h30 and continues until 07h30 and the guest do not talk, THEY SHOUT at each other. Its truly excessive noise and on night one it woke me at 03h00 and I could not sleep until after 08h00. In 5 nights this happened three times although night one was the worst. I came very close to ask for an alternative room but chose not to as I did not feel like packing up again. The in-house restaurant caters mostly for carnivores and its the first restaurant that does not serve a fruit platter and the vegan / vegetarian options are very limited resulting in me eating out mostly. The pool attendants were quick & attentive and cleaned quickly after guest left.

A good place to stay for overnights or short trips. Rates are cheap & very affordable but exclusive of breakfast. Highly recommended to people wanting a quick, relaxing rest. Now features a swimming pool with a pool area that's great to just hangout with friends.

Another fantastic stay in Clarkton. For us the best location in Angeles City. Near to everything and great service. The food in the restaurant is the best I had so far in the Philippines! Doesn’t matter if you chose Pinoy or international dishes. We will be back!

Overall a solid stay, good value and convenient location. A few minor issues prevent a 5/5 rating in terms of room condition but everything else was very good. We paid around £38 / 2500php per night for 5 nights in a 1 bed suite, room H2. Quite a good deal as the room is very spacious and clean, apart from some old makeup stains on the bed cover when we arrived (old ones not fresh ones) All the staff are super friendly and nice, from housekeeping to front desk and security on both day and night shifts. They will always greet you and make sure you are ok, always smiling. Housekeeping available until 6pm and must be requested. You need to leave your key at reception and they even offered to clean my room at 7pm when I called late one time. Sometimes they would call in the evening to check if we wanted housecleaning once they learnt our routine. Parking for around 3x cars right out the front. We always got a spot during our stay but it depends on how full the hotel is. You are about a 5 min walk from the walking street, convenience shops, clubs and restaurants. Just far away from the main strip that it is convenient, but not as noisy. Trike is available nearby if you need transport or you can request the electric golf buggy from front desk. Hotel is small and only has a few rooms so feels more exclusive. On our side of the hotel there is karaoke right under our window, not a problem for us. Depending on how loud your neighbour is when taking part in certain... activities... The soundproofing is generally acceptable. Pool is clean and open from 8am to 10pm. Room H2, external AC unit was a bit noisy and road traffic is audible at all hours of the day but again, this is only minor issues as we are not fussy travellers. Room is clean and has everything you need for medium stays including a kitchenette and full fridge. The main downside is wear and tear. These are small issues if we are being picky, but things like broken cabinets, small cracks on tiles here and there, loose fixtures and fittings in the bathroom prevent me from giving 5*. Everything was working, these are just cosmetic issues and if fixed would result in a 5* rating. Outside walls were being painted when we arrived. Management apologised in advance at check in and it did not ruin our stay. Room service has a nice menu, mango shake was excellent! Room service price was also quite reasonable and not extortionate like some hotels. We would return again in the future and would have extended our stay if our room was still available.

Take time for just a second or two and look at the meaning of Shangri la….. Now you get my meaning here The Wild Orchid is rare amongst Hotels in that in many cases as they age they lose their lustre, drop a star or two and fade from view Not so this gem of a hotel Two swimming pools form the centrepiece here, framed by what seems 3 and 5 level Havana 50’s style buildings connecting the accommodation, foyer, bars and front office. Security is omnipresent giving a safe feeling on top of the atmosphere generated by the smiling and helpful staff. They have a few categories of room available, all seem to be spotlessly clean, good size and functional. The food that leaves their kitchen is excellent with the menu catering for many tastes ( if you want something not covered by the menu the kitchen’s chef will try to please. The location is just another reason for a visit being in the centre of the Angeles entertainment. All in all worth staying!

I was only here for a few days visiting with friends. The staff were friendly and helpful. A standard room had been booked for me. It was compact with a wardrobe and desk and chair. Aircon was noisy and blew directly on to the bed. The tv was excellent with many channels to choose from. The fridge was packed with a variety of drinks. Lighting was very good. The bed had clean linens and provided a comfortable sleep without the aircon on. The bathroom had a segregated shower with hot water and good pressure. Room cleaning was simply a matter of hanging your sign on the door. Food at the restaurant was good but we dined at different restaurants each day. The pool is large and well maintained. They can arrange airport transfers for you. Ideal quiet location only a short walk to Walking Street and a variety of shops. Overall, I had a comfortable stay.

Thank you for making my stay at Surestay Clarview a memorable one. I enjoyed your hospitality and your delicious Kare-kare. The room was spacious, clean and well-lit. The wifi was fast and reliable, which was important for my online meetings. I appreciated the polite and helpful staff at the hotel. Shout out to Jen and Gilbert. However, there were some areas that could be improved. For example, some of the employees were too loud while on duty, which disturbed my peace and quiet. Also, the service at the restaurant was kinda slow and I had to call someone twice to get their attention. Finally, I had a hard time reaching the reception by phone when I needed some bath soap. I had to go down to the lobby and found two personnel who said they didn't receive any call. Overall, I still had a lovely stay at your hotel and I would recommend it to others. As a former hotelier, I know how hard it is to run a hotel and I appreciate your efforts. I hope you will take my feedback as constructive criticism and work on improving your service. See you soon!

This housekeeping team member went above and beyond to maintain impeccable cleanliness standards, creating a consistently pleasant and hygienic environment for all guests. Breakfast Buffet: The breakfast buffet is impressive, featuring a variety of fresh and delicious options catering to different tastes. From continental to local cuisines, guests can start their day on a satisfying note.
