Alaska Backpackers Inn

First off this place is on the edge of downtown and one of the poorest, nastiest neighborhoods in anchorage. Sleep was impossible to get, any given night a car would fly down the alley next to the building, it was super loud. If that didn't keep me up, someone yelling outside my window late at night, or one of the many meth heads that get passed the weak security and find a spot to do ***** and run around the building all night. People slamming doors all night, running up and down the stair well stomping. Then after i move out because I couldn't take the lack of sleep, and craziness, the landlord goes into my room and steals my stuff. On top of that, landlord is refusing to pay me my deposit, even after I left the place completely clean as I found it since I'm trying to build good renting history, which is impossible, when every landlord is a greedy, and shady thief looking to take what's yours because the law basically allows them too,. So I would only recommend staying here if you enjoy being woken up all hours of the night, and having your possessions stolen from you.
